
The complete St. Clair County Sheriff's Office News Release February 2nd, 2021 through February 8th, 2021
Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made five arrests and took multiple reports during the weeks of February 2nd, 2021 through February 8th, 2021.
Arrests
Hoyt, John - On February 4th, John Hoyt, 51, Osceola, was arrested at the St. Clair County Courthouse on a Henry County warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid. The bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety, and Henry County Sheriff's Office picked him up at the St. Clair County Jail.
Witham, Daniel - On February 6th, Daniel Witham, 38, Humansville, was arrested on a Misdemeanor charge for Trespassing - 1st Degree. Daniel was held on a 24 hour hold and released pending formal charges.
The arrest was made after multiple citizens of Collins reported that Daniel had shown up on their properties and refused to leave, including breaking into one of the victim's garages.
Thomas, Brent - On February 6th, Brent Thomas, 47, Osceola, was arrested on a Felony charge for Driving While Revoked/Suspended. Brent was booked and released pending formal charges. The arrest was made after a St. Clair County Deputy performed a traffic stop that Brent was the driver of for failing to stop at a stop sign. Upon making contact with Brent, the deputy noted that he did not have a valid driver's license, and had multiple previous convictions for driving while revoked.
Lampone-Taylor, Whitley - On February 8th, Whitley Lampone-Taylor, 27, Clinton, was arrested by Henry County Sheriff's Office on three Failure to Appear St. Clair County Warrants. The first warrant was for Driving While Intoxicated, with the second warrant being for Owner Operating Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility, and finally the third warrant being for Failed to Drive on Right Half of Roadway When Roadway Was of Sufficient Width. The total bond was set at $3,500 cash or surety and $539 cash only.
Whitley was transported from the Henry County Sheriff's Office to the St. Clair County Jail.
Enlow, Alyssa - On February 8th, Alyssa Enlow, 26, Kansas City, was arrested by Johnson County Sheriff's Office on a Failure to Appear St. Clair County warrant with the original charge being a Misdemeanor for False Impersonation. The bond was set at $3,500 cash or surety.
Alyssa was transported from the Johnson County Sheriff's Office to the St. Clair County Jail.
Burglary at Appleton City Cemetery
On February 5th, a St. Clair County deputy responded to a call for service at the Appleton City Cemetery in regards to a burglary. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the caretakers, who reported that upon taking care of the grounds, they had noticed damage done to a shed door. The caretakers also reported a gasoline air compressor, a small 12 volt air compressor, and a bottle jack were stolen. The total cost of the stolen items and the damage done to the door was estimated to be $1,450.00.
