The complete St. Clair County Sheriff's Office  News Release January 26th, 2021 through February 1st, 2021

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made arrests and took multiple reports during the weeks of January 26th, 2021 through February 1st, 2021.

                                                                                                            

Arrests

Trevor Tapprich - On January 26th, Trevor Tapprich, 40, Quincy, was arrested by Hickory County Sheriff's Office on a St. Clair County Warrant for a Probation Violation, with the original charge being a Felony for Possessing Chemicals with Intent to Manufacture, Produce, Process, Prepare, or Alter Chemicals to Create a Controlled Substance. The bond was set at $5,000 cash only, and Trevor was transported from the Hickory County Jail to the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office.

 

Michael Kiprotich - On January 29th, Michael Kiprotich, 47, Olathe, turned himself in, in the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office lobby, for a Court Commit for two charges. The first charge was a Misdemeanor charge for a DWI, and the second charge was a Misdemeanor charge for Stealing.

 

Joseph Davis - On January 30th, Joseph Davis, 32, Clinton, was arrested on by a St. Clair County deputy for a Felony charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid. Joseph was book and released pending formal charges.

 

Robert Thomas Sr. - On January 31st, Robert Thomas Sr., 60, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for a Felony charge of Domestic Assault - 2nd Degree, and a Felony charge of Resisting/Interfering with Arrest For a Felony. The bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety.

 

The arrest was made after St. Clair County deputies responded to a call in regards to an assault. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with the victim, who reported that Robert Thomas Sr. had struck her multiple times in the face with a closed fist, and multiple times with an open hand. The victim did have visible injuries that were photographed.

 

Property Damage in Deepwater

On January 26th, a St. Clair County deputy responded to a call for service in regards to property damage. Upon making contact with the property owner, it was reported that a property listed as an Air Bnb on ZZ Highway, had been shot at. The air conditioning unit in the rear of the residence had a bullet hole, alongside the side of the house.

 

The value of the property damage to the air conditioning unit was estimated to be $3,000.00.

 

Burglary at Wildflower Inn

On January 30th, a St. Clair County deputy responded to a call for service in regards to a burglary at the Wildflower Inn on 13 Highway. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the property owner, who reported that a TLC 43" TV had been stolen from Room 5. Photographs were taken, and evidence was collected from the scene, and a suspect was named. The TV stolen was valued at $200.00.
