 News Release January 19th, 2021 through January 25th, 2021

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made nine arrests and took multiple reports during the weeks of January 19th, 2021 through January 25th, 2021.

                                                                                                            

Arrests

Ward, Casey - On January 19, Casey Ward, 51, Lowry City, was arrested on a Felony charge of DWI - Chronic, and a Felony charge of Driving While Revoked/Suspended. Casey was held on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

The arrest was made after a St. Clair County made at traffic stop on the vehicle Casey was the driver of. Upon making contact with Casey, the deputy noticed a strong odor of intoxicants coming from the vehicle, to which Casey admitted to drinking a quantity of alcohol before/while driving.

 

Hatfield, Dillon - On January 19, Dillon Hatfield, 25, El Dorado Springs, was arrested on a St. Clair County Failure to Appear warrant for a Misdemeanor charge of Exceeding Posted Speed Limit by 26 Miles Per Hour or More, and a Bolivar Police Department Failure to Appear warrant of Stealing. The total bond was set at $445.00 cash only.

 

Hanson, Tiffany - On January 20, Tiffany Hanson, 31, El Dorado Springs, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for a Misdemeanor charge of Property Damage - 2nd Degree, and two Failure to Appear Vernon County Traffic Warrants. The bond was set at a total of $523.50.

The arrest was made when Tiffany was taken into custody at the St. Clair County Courthouse and transported to the St. Clair County Jail.

 

McCurdy, Christopher - On January 20, Christopher McCurdy, 41, Appleton City, was arrested on a Felony charge of Domestic Assault - 1st Degree, a Misdemeanor charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle in a Careless and Imprudent Manner - Involving an Accident, and a Misdemeanor charge of Driving While Revoked/Suspended. Christopher was held on a 24 hour pending formal charges.

The arrest was made after a St. Clair County deputy responded to a call for service in regards to a domestic. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the victim, who reported that Christopher had assaulted him/her repeatedly.

 

Taylor, Patrick - On January 20, Patrick Taylor, 30, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for a Misdemeanor charge of Domestic Assault - 4th Degree - 1st or 2nd Offense, and a Misdemeanor charge of Assault - 4th Degree - Pursuant to Subdivision (3) Special Victims. The bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety.

The arrest was made after St. Clair County deputies responded to a call in regards to a possible domestic in progress. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with the victim, who reported that Christopher had assaulted him/her. After Patrick was transported to the St. Clair County Jail, while being booked in, he struck one of the jail officers in the chest.

 

Sieleman, Haylee - On January 21, Haylee Sieleman, 20, Deepwater, was arrested by Johnson County on a St. Clair County Failure to Appear warrant for a Felony charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid, and a Misdemeanor charge of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Haylee was transported from Johnson County Jail to St. Clair County Jail. The bond was set at $5,000 cash only.

 

Self, Jonathan - On January 21, Jonathon Self, 34, Wheatland, was arrested at the St. Clair County Courthouse on a St. Clair County Failure to Appear warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid, and a Felony charge of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Amphetamine or Methamphetamine. Jonathan was transported from the St. Clair County Courthouse to the St. Clair County Jail. The bond was set at $5,000 cash only.

 

Cox, Stephen - On January 21, Stephen Cox, 21, Nevada, was arrested at the St. Clair County Courthouse on multiple Bolivar Police Department Misdemeanor warrants. Stephen was transported to the St. Clair County Courthouse pending being picked up by Bolivar Police Department.

 

Zweifel, Zane - On January 22, Zane Zweifel, 29, Clinton, was arrested by Osceola Police Department on a St. Clair County Failure to Appear warrant for a Misdemeanor charge of Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle Sounding Siren and Displaying Red/Blue Lights, and two Failure to Appear Osceola Police Department Ordinance charges. Zane was transported by Osceola Police Department to the St. Clair County Jail. The total bond was set at $623.00 cash only.

 

Burglary on O Highway

On January 19th, a St. Clair County deputy responded to the corner of O and H Highways, in regards to a burglary on a storage shed. Upon arrival, the deputy met with Chief of Osceola Police, Betty Roth, who reported a suspicious dirt bike on a property that she was familiar with the owners of. Chief Roth reported that she had made contact with the owners and that they stated the storage shed had been broken into.

The St. Clair County deputy spoke with the owner, Mckensi Marshall, who advised that the Jet Ski inside of the shed had been stolen. Photographs and all evidence available were taken alongside a report. The total value of loss is estimated to be $500.00.

 

Stealing in Osceola

On January 20, a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to Osceola in regards to a possible stolen firearm. Upon arrival, the deputy met with Travis Self who reported that after having people over to visit, a Taurus .40 Handgun was missing. A suspect was named, and information about the firearm was taken alongside the report.

 

Break-In in Twin Oaks Harbor

On January 21, a St. Clair County deputy responded to a call for service in regards to a burglary in Twin Oaks Harbor. Upon arrival, the deputy met with Roxanne Hartman, who stated that someone had taken the window air conditioning unit out of one of the front windows of her house. She stated that nothing was missing at the time, but that you could tell that someone had been looking through the residence.

Photographs of nearby tire tracks were taken alongside a report.

 

Stolen Vehicle in Lowry City

On January 22, the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office had a walk in report in regards to a stolen vehicle. David Foster reported that his 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, that is gold in color with a "SS" on the side, was parked in Lowry City at his girlfriend's house, and that he believes someone would have had to steal it with a trailer. David also advises that the front grill of the truck is broken.
