Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made 14 arrests and took multiple reports during the weeks of September 1 through September 15, 2020.

Brenda Lane

Brenda Lane- On Sept. 14, Brenda Lane, 52, Warrensburg, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a class D felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $7,500 cash or surety.

The warrant comes after the vehicle Lane was a passenger in was pulled over for a moving violation in July of 2020. The deputy made contact with the driver of the vehicle and explained the reason they were pulled over. During the search, a straw was located were Lane was sitting. A field test of the straw was positive for methamphetamine.

Larry Shelton, Jr.- On Sept. 14, Larry Shelton, Jr., 40, Lowry City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance. Shelton was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after deputies received consent to search his residence. During the search, a plastic baggie containing a crystal like substance was located, along with other paraphernalia. Shelton admitted to the drugs ad being his.

Anita Shelton-On Sept. 14, Anita Shelton, 41, Lowry City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance. Shelton was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after deputies received consent to search his residence. During the search, a plastic baggie containing a crystal like substance was located, along with other paraphernalia.

Darnel Walker- On Sept. 12, Darnel Walker, 28, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class A misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia-prior drug offense. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

The warrant comes after the vehicle Walker was driving was pulled over for an equipment violation. During a search of the vehicle a glass pipe and a glass bong were located with a crystal like residue in them. Both items field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Douglas Sherlin- On Sept. 10, Douglas Sherlin, 59, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class A misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia-prior drug offense. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

The warrant comes after a vehicle Sherlin was a passenger in was pulled over for an equipment violation. During the stop, the deputies observed a partial marijuana cigarette on the dash of the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle, a small plastic cup was located that contained a crystal like substance. The substance field tested positive for methamphetamine. Sherlin admitted to the drugs to being his.

Roger Barrow- On Sept. 9, Roger Barrow, 56, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class E felony unlawful use of a weapon-exhibiting and a class B misdemeanor trespass in the first degree. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.

The warrant comes after Barrow had gone onto a neighboring property and threatened the property owners with a gun. When the deputy made contact with Barrow, the deputy could smell the odor of intoxicants.

Trevor Davis- On Sept. 9, Trevor Davis, 31, Appleton City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class B felony burglary in the first degree and a class A misdemeanor driving while intoxicated-prior. Bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety.

The arrest comes after Davis drove to a residence on NE Highway H, while intoxicated, and forced entry into the residence.

Timmy Rhoades- On Sept. 9, Timmy Rhoades, 35, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on a class D felony abuse or neglect of a child. Bond is set at $2,500 cash only.

The original charge comes from an investigation by the Osceola Police Department in December of 2018.

Krista Myers- On Sept. 7, Krista Myers, 30, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a probation violation on an original class E felony resisting/interfering with an arrest for a felony. Bond is set at $2,500 cash only.

The original charge comes from a St. Clair County Sheriff's Office investigation in June of 2016.

Sierra Sherwood- On Sept. 6, Sierra Sherwood, 27, Sedalia, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance, a class D misdemeanor possession of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid of 10 grams or less, a class E felony unlawful possession drug paraphernalia-amphetamine or methamphetamine, and a class E felony resisting/interfering with arrest for a felony. Sherwood was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy performed a traffic stop on the vehicle Sherwood was a passenger in for a moving violation. Contact was made with the driver and passenger. A K9 was called to the scene and performed an exterior sniff test of the vehicle. The K9 did alert to the odor of narcotics. During the search of the vehicle, marijuana was located along with paraphernalia to smoke the marijuana. Also located were multiple syringes. A container had a crystal like residue on it and was field tested. The container field tested positive for methamphetamine. Sherwood claimed the bags to being hers.

While being placed into handcuffs, Sherwood tried to pull away from the deputy. The deputy was able to control Sherwood and get her placed in handcuffs.

Angela Hill- On Sept. 5, Angela Hill, 46, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance. Hill was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy performed a traffic stop on the vehicle Hill was driving for an equipment violation. During a search, the deputy located a container inside of the purse of Hill. The container had a crystal like residue in it. The residue field tested positive for methamphetamine. A search of the vehicle revealed a small black bag. Inside the bag were multiple small bags with a crystal like substance and multiple syringes. The substance in the small baggies also field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Sandra Marconi- On Sept. 5, Sandra Marconi, 50, Collins, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with three counts of a class A misdemeanor passing a bad check. Bond is set at $2,500 cash or surety.

Eric Engeman- On Sept. 2, Eric Engeman, 47, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class B felony burglary in the first degree. Bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety.

The warrant comes after a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to a residence on NW 151 Road in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with Amanda Crawford. Crawford stated Engeman had shown up to her residence and started to bang on the door. After a short period, Crawford heard a loud bang as Engeman kicked in her front door.

Levi Sieleman- On Sept. 2, Levi Sieleman, 38, El Dorado Springs, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a Clinton Police Department warrant for failure to appear in court. Bond is set at $250 cash or surety.

                             Stealing in El Dorado Springs

On Sept.9, a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to a residence on SE 550 Road in reference to a stolen firearm. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with Corey Smith. Smith stated when he left his residence a Taurus PT 709 was sitting next to his bed. When he returned home, the handgun was not there.

The deputy collected witness statements. Estimated loss value is $250.

Stealing in Stockton

On Sept. 3, a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to a residence on SW 51 Road in reference to a stealing. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with Travis Bland. Bland stated his John Deere zero turn mower had broke down and he parked it next to the fence line. Bland stated he last saw the mower on Sept. 2. When he woke up, the mower was gone.

A St. Clair County deputy searched for evidence and photographed the area. Estimated loss value of the mower is $3,500.
