Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made 3 arrests and took a burglary report during the week of May 5 through 12, 2020.

Theresa Rodrigues

Theresa Rodrigues- On May 11, Theresa Rodrigues, 65, Lowry City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Rodrigues was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy performed a traffic stop on the vehicle Rodrigues was driving for a moving violation. While speaking with Rodrigues, the deputy asked for and was given consent to search the vehicle. During the search, two glass pipes were located along with some marijuana and a plastic bag containing a crystal-like substance.

Mario Marshal- On May 9, Mario Marshal, 30, Springfield, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid of 11-35 grams. Marshal was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy performed a traffic stop on the vehicle Marshal was a passenger in for an equipment violation. The deputy made contact with the driver and could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. When asked if there was anything illegal in the vehicle, Marshal stated there was a marijuana blunt in the center console. A search of the vehicle revealed a bag with marijuana, a grinder, and a scale. Marshal admitted all the drugs and paraphernalia as being his.

Amanda Crawford

Amanda Crawford- On May 8, Amanda Crawford, 31, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a probation violation on an original class D felony possession of a controlled substance, a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and a class D misdemeanor possession of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid of 10 grams or less. This is a no bond warrant.

The original charges stem from a Mid Missouri Drug Task Force investigation in August of 2018.

Burglary in Osceola

On May 9, a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to a residence on NE Old Highway 13 in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with Daniel Kirk. Kirk stated someone had made entry into his house and took his washer and dryer along with some fixtures around the house.  A window was also cracked that was not previously. Items missing include a Kenmore Elite washer and dryer, a Samsung microwave, two decorative light fixtures, a decorative chandelier, a kitchen faucet, and a bronze shower head.

Kirk did fill out a request for prosecution. The deputy photographed the scene. The total estimated loss value is $3,560.
