Sheriff Scott A. Keeler wanted to update the people of St. Clair County of the continued work of the Sheriff's Office. The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office works with the local jurisdictions and state agencies to build cases against the war on drugs even during the COVID-19 episode.
During the last few weeks the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office, Osceola Police Department, Lowry City Police Department, and the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force have been working on several drug investigations resulting in over ten felony drug arrests.
On April 15, a traffic stop was conducted on Hwy 13 just north of Lowry City. During the traffic stop, deputies along with Mid Missouri Drug Task Force obtained consent to search the vehicle, which resulted in an amount of marijuana along with a glass pipe that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Samuel Lyon was placed under arrest and was later booked and released pending formal charges.
On April 15, a St. Clair County deputy observed a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed. A St. Clair County deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the motorcycle which failed to yield. A St. Clair County deputy was able to stop the vehicle in an adjoining county. During the investigation, an amount of suspected methamphetamine was located. The driver of the motorcycle, Richard Weld was placed under arrest and charges pending.
On April 18, a St. Clair County deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force. During the traffic stop consent was given and an amount of suspected methamphetamine was located in the vehicle. Christopher Barks was placed under arrest, charges are pending.
On April 19, St. Clair County deputies along with Mid Missouri Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle located on Hwy 13 north of Lowry City. An exterior sniff test by a K9 unit was performed on the vehicle by an Osceola Police Department K9 officer who advised an alert on the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle, an amount of suspected methamphetamine was located. Samuel Lyon was placed under arrest, charges are pending.
On April 20, St. Clair County deputies along with Mid Missouri Drug Task Force conducted a drug investigation in Lowry City. The investigation resulted in an amount of methamphetamine being located. The subject, later identified as Nichole Rodrigues, was not arrested at that time, but charges are pending.
On April 23, St. Clair County deputies responded to a threat call in the Tiffin area. During the investigation, deputies located a glass pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamine with. Christy Tigner was placed under arrest.
On April 23, St. Clair County deputies advised Mid Missouri Drug Task Force about the information regarding the residence in Tiffin, Missouri, St. Clair County deputies along with Mid Missouri Drug Task Force went back to the residence in regards to a drug investigation. While talking with two subjects, a male and female were observed exiting a window of the residence and were later apprehended. Consent to search the property was given by the subject. While deputies and Mid Missouri Drug Task Force conducted the search, an amount of suspected methamphetamine was located. Jessica Donald, Shawn Brune, and Joseph Baros were placed under arrest, charges are pending.

Even though we are productive with our own efforts, we rely on information from the citizens of this great county to eradicate more illegal activities.
