Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made eight arrests during the week of Jan. 14 through 21, 2020.

Warrant Arrests

Huckaby.jpg
Brandon Huckaby

Brandon Huckaby- On Jan. 20, Brandon Huckaby, 36, Clinton, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on a class D misdemeanor driving while revoked/suspended. Bond is set at $500 cash only.

The original charge stems from a traffic stop by the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office in June of 2019.

James Shoemaker

 

James Shoemaker- On Jan. 20, James Shoemaker, 35, Kansas City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a probation violation on an original class D felony possession of a controlled substance, a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, a class D misdemeanor driving while revoked/suspended. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

The original charges stem from a traffic stop by the Lowry City Police Department in March of 2017.

Sarah Stroud

Sarah Stroud- On Jan. 20, Sarah Stroud, 25, Sugar Creek, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a probation violation on original charges of a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $2,500 cash only.

The original charges stem from an investigation in October of 2018 when St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to the Pilot Travel Center in regards to an unresponsive female. A record check revealed she had a warrant and was taken into custody. While doing an inventory or her vehicle a small glass jar containing a white crystal like substance was located along with other drug paraphernalia. The substance did field test positive for methamphetamine.

Crystal Richards- On Jan. 19, Crystal Richards, 36, Lowry City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a Henry County warrant charging her with failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge. Bond is set at $225 cash or surety.

Jamie Azar

Jamie Azar- On Jan. 18, Jamie Azar, 38, Osceola, was arrested on a class E felony domestic assault in the third degree. Azar was placed on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to a residence on NE 1021Road in reference to a domestic assault. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with the female victim. She stated that Azar had punched her in the face and kicked her in the groin area. Azar did admit to hitting the female victim.

Shane Magoon

Shane Magoon- On Jan. 18, Shane Magoon, 48, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant after a bond revocation on original unclassified felony armed criminal action, a class E felony unlawful use of a weapon, a class D felony unlawful possession of a firearm, a class E felony resisting arrest/detention/stop by fleeing-creating a substantial risk of serious injury or death to any person, and a class A misdemeanor assault in the fourth degree. This is a no bond warrant.

The original warrant comes after a St. Clair County deputy was trying to pull over a vehicle for failure to yield on June 9, 2019. The vehicle finally stopped approximately one and a half miles east of Highway E and Highway A intersection. Upon making contact with the subject, the deputy noticed a weapon. The subject allegedly reached for the weapon. The deputy drew his county issued service weapon and fired one shot at the subject. The subject was struck by the shot fired. The deputy was not injured.

Joseph Vieira

Joseph Vieira- On Jan. 16, Joseph Vieira, 44, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D misdemeanor stealing-value less than $150 and no prior stealing offense. Vieira was booked and released pending formal charges. 

The arrest comes after St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to a residence on Highway B in reference to a possible domestic. While at the residence a deputy did a record check on a vehicle in the yard. The record check revealed the license plate was a stolen dealer plate out of Springfield.

Kevin Lillard

Kevin Lillard- On Jan. 14, Kevin Lillard, 33, Springfield, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with two counts of a class D felony possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony possession of a firearm, a class E felony unlawful use of a weapon, and a class A misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia-prior drug offense. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.

The warrant comes after a St. Clair County deputy assisted a detective from the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force in a drug investigation. A search of the residence where Lillard was staying revealed marijuana, a loaded handgun, and drug paraphernalia.
