News Release Aug. 19-26, 2019
Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made two arrests and took two reports during the week of Aug. 19-26, 2019.
Warrant Arrests

Johnnie Adams- On Aug. 20, Johnnie Adams, 41, Bolivar, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony endangering the welfare of a child creating a substantial risk-first degree. Adams was placed on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.
The arrest comes after St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to the Subway Restaurant in Collins in regards to two suspicious people. Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with a male and female at the restaurant. The male, later identified as Johnnie Adams, stated that his truck broke down and they were waiting on a tow truck to get there. The deputy asked for his ID, which was in his truck. While the deputies were talking with the female, Adams went past his vehicle and fled into the nearby timber with his infant child.
A search of the surrounding area resulted in negative results.
At approximately 4 a.m. while a St. Clair County deputy was still patrolling the area, Adams gave himself up to the deputy. Adams still had the infant child with him. Adams was taken into custody without further incident.
Adams also had multiple warrants out of Benton County and a warrant out of Saline County.

Aaron Taylor- On Aug. 19, Aaron Taylor, 27, Lowry City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class A misdemeanor driving while revoked/suspended-second or third offense. Taylor was booked and released pending formal charges.
The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy performed a traffic stop on the vehicle Taylor was driving. A record check showed Taylor to have a revoked license.

Stolen Vehicle Out of El Dorado Springs
On August 24, a St. Clair County deputy took a report from Travis Berning, who stated his vehicle was stolen out of his driveway. Berning stated when he woke up Saturday morning his orange 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan was not in his driveway. He stated the keys were not left in the vehicle.
Burglary in Lowry City
On August 23, a deputy took a walk in report from Dale Atchison in regards to burglary that took place at his residence on NE Center Road.
Atchison stated a yellow DeWalt chop saw, a DeWalt ½” cordless drill, and a 5000 watt generator were stolen out of his shed. The estimated loss value was not known at the time of the report.
