            Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made five arrests and took multiple reports during the week of Dec.10-17, 2018.

Warrant Arrests

Vandermeyden.jpg
Isiah Vandermeyden

Isiah Vandermeyden- On Dec. 14, Isiah Vandermeyden, 18, Appleton City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony assault in the second degree. Vandermeyden was placed on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after Vandermeyden allegedly got into a physical altercation with a juvenile.

Michelle Gryskiewics

Michelle Gryskiewics- On Dec. 26, Michelle Gryskiewics, 26, Lowry City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Gryskiewics was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force, assisted by the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office and the Lowry City Police Department, performed a consensual search of a residence where Gryskiewics was at. Gryskiewics admitted to having methamphetamine and glass pipe. The said items were retrieved during the search. The items did field test positive for methamphetamine.

Charles Jones

Charles Jones- On Dec. 13, Charles Jones, 25, Springfield, was arrested on St. Clair County warrants charging him with a class D misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle with no driver’s license, class D misdemeanor no insurance, and a class B misdemeanor exceeding posted speed limit by 26 mph or more. Total bond is set at $649.50 cash only.

The original charges stem from a traffic stop by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Aug. 11, 2018.

Jason Sole

Jason Sole- On Dec. 11, Jason Sole, 48, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a Scott County warrant charing him with a class C felony receiving stolen property. Bond is set at $2,500 cash or surety.

The original charge stems from an investigation from Scott County on Oct. 1, 2015.

Theodore Harpool

Theodore Harpool- On Dec. 11, Theodore Harpool, 49, Pittsburg, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class C felony burglary in the second degree. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

The original charge stems from an investigation by the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office from April 2011.

Domestic Assault in Roscoe

On Dec. 14, St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to a residence on SW 131 Road in Roscoe in reference to a domestic dispute in progress.

Upon arrival, deputies could see blood on the ground and steps leading up to the door and on the door and walls of the residence.

The deputies knocked on the door and made contact with the victim, Trisha Weymuth. Weymuth had blood on her hand and swelling on her face. The deputies asked if Weymuth needed an ambulance. Weymuth stated no.

Weymuth stated her and her boyfriend, Bud Eaton, had been to the Rivers Edge Bar. When they arrived at Weymuth’s residence, Eaton began accusing Weymuth of cheating on him. Weymuth stated she told Eaton to take his daughter and leave if he was going to start a fight. Weymuth stated that is when Eaton knocked her to the ground and started to hit her. She stated that during the altercation Eaton knocked her to the ground three times and dragged her out the front door and down the steps on her face.

Weymuth stated juveniles were in the house and witnessed the altercation.

Eaton had left the residence prior to the arrival of deputies.

Burglary in Osceola

On Dec. 13, St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to a residence on NE 351 Private Road in reference to a burglary.

Upon arrival, the deputies approached the residence, looking for any signs of movement through the windows. There was a dog in one of the windows. A deputy could see past the dog, and noticed a man lying on the floor with part of his upper body under a bed.

The man was identified as home owner, James Crowder. Crowder stated he was lying in bed when he heard the front door of his residence open. Crowder advised two male subjects in dark colored hoodies, one with an orange facemask, the other with a black facemask, both wearing gloves, came to his bedroom and pointed guns at him.

Crowder stated the two men wanted to know where his medications were. Crowder stated the medications were in his gun safe. Crowder stated one man told the other to tie Crowder up. Crowder stated the men took the medication and ran out the back door.

Crowder stated the suspect stole approximately $300 worth of medication.

St. Clair County deputies searched the house and patrolled the surrounding area looking for suspects.

Stolen License Plate in Roscoe

On Dec. 13, a St. Clair County deputy took a report of a stolen license plate in Roscoe. The deputy spoke to Ralph Witt. Witt advised his rear license plate from his 1985 Ford truck was stolen while the vehicle was parked on the street by his house. Witt advised the plate number is 6DA-871.

Stealing in Lowry City

On Dec. 12, a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to a residence off of NE 700 Road in reference to a stealing.

Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with Drew Morman. Morman advised that, between Nov. 28 and Dec. 12, an unknown subject cut the chain on the gate to his property and stole a black GE space heater out of the well house. Morman also advised someone moved two trailers closer to the road way. The estimated loss value is $60.
