            Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made nine arrests and took a dog bite report and an impersonating officer report during the week of Oct. 15-22, 2018.

Warrant Arrests

Angela Bathrope

Angela Bathrope- On Oct. 17, Angela Bathrope, 31, Appleton City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

The warrant comes after the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force and the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant on a residence in Appleton City. While conducting the search warrant, Bathrope arrived at the residence in a vehicle. Contact was made immediately with Bathrope by a law enforcement officer at the scene. A search of the vehicle revealed a cellophane package with a white crystal like substance. The substance did field test positive for methamphetamine.

Bonnie Noble

Bonnie Noble- On Oct. 17, Bonnie Noble, 61, Appleton City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class A misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia- prior drug offense. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

The warrant comes after the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force and the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant on a residence in Appleton City. During the search, a glass pipe containing a white crystal like substance was located in the bedroom where Noble claimed to stay. The glass pipe did field test positive for methamphetamine.

Jeremy Noble- On Oct. 17, Jeremy Noble, 34, Montrose, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.

The warrant comes after the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force and the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant on a residence in Appleton City. During the search a plastic baggie containing a white crystal like substance was located in a diaper bag. Noble admitted to the substance to being his. The substance did field test positive for methamphetamine.

Elizabeth Ragle

Elizabeth Ragle- On Oct. 17, Elizabeth Ragle, 40, Montrose, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Ragle was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force and the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant on a residence. Ragle was inside the residence when the search was conducted where multiple drug items and drug paraphernalia were located.

Urian Vinje

Urian Vinje- On Oct. 17, Urian Vinje, 44, unknown, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony endangering the welfare of a child involving drugs-first degree-first offense. Vinje was placed on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

Vinje, along with his juvenile child, was located inside a residence in Appleton City when the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force and the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant. During the search, numerous items of drugs and drug paraphernalia were found.

Joshua Young

Joshua Young- On Oct. 17, Joshua Young, 34, Appleton City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D misdemeanor possession of marijuana and a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Young was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after Young was located inside a residence where the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force and the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant. Young was searched and a pipe was found on his person with a burned residue.

Miriam Wareham

Miriam Wareham- On Oct. 17, Miriam Wareham, 57, Appleton City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a class D felony possession of a controlled substance, class D felony delivery or possession of a controlled substance at a county/private jail/correctional center except with written permission, and a class E felony keeping and maintaining a public nuisance. Total bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.

The warrant comes after the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force and St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant on a residence in Appleton City where Wareham resides. During the search, a plastic baggie with a white crystal like substance was found. The substance did field test positive for methamphetamine.

While at the jail, Wareham was asked again if she had anything illegal on her person. She was advised that if she brought anything illegal into the facility, it would be another felony charge. Wareham denied having anything. During the intake process, another plastic baggie containing a white crystal like substance was found on her person. The substance did test positive for methamphetamine.

Ricky Sherlin, Jr.

Ricky Sherlin, Jr.- On Oct. 17, Ricky Sherlin, Jr., 38, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class D felony statutory rape in the second degree. Bond is set at $50,000 cash or surety.

The warrant comes after an interview was conducted with Sherlin. He admitted to having an intimate relationship with a juvenile resulting in a child.

Matthew Dempsey

Matthew Dempsey- On Oct. 16, Matthew Dempsey, 44, Springfield, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy for failure to appear in court on a Polk County warrant for an ordinance charge. Bond is set at $250 cash only.

Impersonating an Officer in Lowry City

On Oct. 19, a St. Clair deputy was dispatched to Shelby’s Truck Stop in reference to someone impersonating an officer.

Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Aaron and Crystal Taylor. Mrs. Taylor stated she was pulled over by a small S.U.V. with red and blue lights at Highway C and Highway NN. She stated he was a tall, skinny white male with light colored hair and a light colored mustache and goatee. He was wearing a dark blue uniform with patches on the sleeves, carrying a gun and handcuffs.

Mrs. Taylor stated that the male subject stated if she wanted out of the ticket, she needed to show him her breasts. She moved her shirt to show her collar bone. The male subject stated that was not good enough and to step out of the car. Mrs. Taylor stated she drove away at that point. She stated the male subject followed her into Lowry City. She turned into to the Dollar General Store. She stated the male subject turned towards Shelby’s Truck Stop.

The deputy has requested the video surveillance from Shelby’s Truck Stop.

The investigation into this is ongoing.

   

Animal Bite in Roscoe

On Oct. 17, St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to SW Deepwater Street in reference to a dog bite.

Upon arrival, the deputies spoke with Tom Crawford. Crawford stated on Oct. 13, his grandchild was bitten by a pit bull type dog. Crawford stated that while he was working in his yard, his grandchild and another neighbor’s child were jumping on the trampoline. Crawford heard his grandchild scream and started to cry. He ran to see what had happened and observed his grandchild crying and holding his right leg.

Crawford went on to state that the dog is owned by Bud Eaton and the dog’s name is “Scooby”.

The deputies made contact with the grandchild and took pictures of the injuries.

Charges are pending in this matter.
