 News Release Sept. 17-24, 2018

            Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made eleven arrests and took a stolen gun report during the week of Sept. 17-24, 2018.

Warrant Arrests

Nathan Archer

Nathan Archer- On Sept. 24, Nathan Archer, 33, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class E felony non-support, total arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments due under order of support.

Alias Reed

Alias Reed- On Sept. 24, Alias Reed, 20, Columbus, MS, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class C misdemeanor exceeding the posted speed limit by 11-15 mph. Bond is set at $220 cash only.

The original charge comes from a traffic stop by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Feb. 6, 2018.

Justen Vannatta

Justen Vannatta- On Sept. 24, Justen Vannatta, 36, Kansas City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with two counts of a class E felony of non-support, total arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments due under order of support. Bond is set at $1,500 cash only.

Moses Baldeh

Moses Baldeh- On Sept. 24, Moses Baldeh, 25, Kansas City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a Cass County warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on a class B misdemeanor failure to register motor vehicle. Bond is set at $250 cash only.

The original charge comes from a traffic stop by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Feb. 26, 2016.

Christopher Palmer

Christopher Palmer- On Sept. 22, Christopher Palmer, 42, Lincoln, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony domestic assault in the second degree. Palmer was placed on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to Shelby’s gas station in reference to a domestic assault that had occurred earlier in the day. Upon arrival the deputy made contact with Tina Hendrix. Hendrix stated that she and her boyfriend, Palmer, had gotten into an argument earlier in the day and that Palmer had push her and struck her on her back and in the face.

Shelby Limback

Shelby Limback- On Sept. 21, Shelby Limback, 28, Bates City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with failure to appear in court on an original class D felony non-support, total arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments due under court order of support. Bond is set at $1,500 cash only.

John Chiles

John Chiles- On Sept. 20, John Chiles, 42, Deepwater, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class A misdemeanor domestic assault in the fourth degree and a class B misdemeanor trespass in the first degree. Chiles was placed on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to a residence on NE1103 Private Road in reference to a domestic assault. The deputy arrived on scene and spoke with Jennifer Hall, who stated that her and her boyfriend, Chiles, had been arguing. Hall had told Chiles to leave. Hall stated at one point Chiles had shoved her and refused to leave the property.

Travis Davis

Travis Davis- On Sept. 20, Travis Davis, 31, Kansas City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance. A record check revealed Davis has a warrant for failure to appear in court on a probation violation on a class D felony for non-support. Total bond is set at $25,000 cash only.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle, that Davis was a passenger in, for a moving violation. When the deputy asked if there was anything illegal in the vehicle, the driver stated there was a marijuana pipe in the console. The deputy was given consent to search the vehicle. During the search, the deputy recovered the marijuana pipe and also found a metal container that contained a white crystal like residue. The residue did field test positive for methamphetamine.

Elizabeth Conner

Elizabeth Conner- On Sept. 19, Elizabeth Conner, 44, Springfield, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a probation violation on an original class C felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $2,500 cash only.

The original charge comes from an investigation by the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office and the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force on April 25, 2013, when deputies and detectives made contact at a residence on SE Highway TT. Law enforcement officers had received permission from the home owner to search the house for illegal drugs. During the search, a purse, containing Conner’s identification, had three glass pipes with a white crystal like residue on them. A used syringe was also found during the search. Conner admitted the syringe was hers. The items were sent to the Missouri Crime Lab and did test positive for methamphetamine.

Nichole Rodriguez

Nichole Rodriguez- On Sept. 18, Nichole Rodriguez, 20, Clinton, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Rodriguez was placed on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle Rodriguez was a passenger in. A K9 unit was on scene and the K9 performed an exterior sniff test of the vehicle. The K9 did alert to the presence of narcotics. The driver and passenger did admit to having marijuana in the glove box. The deputies performed a search on the vehicle and recovered the marijuana from the glove box. Upon further searching the vehicle, a deputy found two syringes inside a makeup bag on the passenger side of the vehicle. There was some drug paraphernalia located in the trunk of the vehicle. The driver admitted the paraphernalia was his. Rodriguez admitted the syringes were hers. The syringes did field test positive for methamphetamine.

Otto Hendricks

Otto Hendricks- On Sept. 18, Otto Hendricks, 29, Portland, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on an original class A misdemeanor operating a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, involving an accident. Bond is set at $250 cash only.

The original charges come from the Missouri State Highway Patrol on March 3, 2016.

Stolen Firearm

On Sept. 23, a St. Clair County deputy made contact with Michael Gainey in reference to a stolen firearm. Gainey stated that he was renting a house to a friend. The house was getting a lot of unwanted visitors due to previous drug activity at the house. Gainey stated he let his tenant borrow a Ruger Model P89 9mm for protection. Gainey then stated that his tenant started falling behind on rent and moved out without giving notice. Gainey has made several unsuccessful attempts to regain possession of the firearm.

A suspect has been named.
