St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office News Updates Aug. 27-31, 2018

 Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made seven arrests during the week of Aug. 27-31, 2018.

Warrant Arrest

Jacob Voelker

Jacob Voelker - On Aug. 30, Jacob Voelker, 28, Republic, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class B felony domestic assault in the first degree and a class E felony unlawful use of a weapon while intoxicated. Voelker was placed on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after deputies were dispatched to a residence on Main Street in Collins in reference to a domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with Amy Shull. Shull stated her son, Voelker, was acting in a strange manner and trying to take his kids without permission. Shull stated when she came home, the house was destroyed and Voelker was sitting in the garage drinking alcohol. Shull stated when she went to grab Voelker’s alcohol stash, he punched her.

Ashley Voelker stated Jacob Voelker came into the house and yelled at her. Shull had told Jacob Voelker not to hit Ashley Voelker. Jacob Voelker began arguing with Shull again. Ashley Voelker stated Shull slapped Jacob Voelker. Jacob Voelker then went into the bedroom and grabbed a shotgun and started walking towards Shull.
     

Jacqueline Schwartz

Jacqueline Schwartz- On Aug. 29, Jacqueline Schwartz, 23, Appleton City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a probation violation on an original charge of a class D felony tampering with a motor vehicle in the first degree. Bond is set $10,000 cash only.

The warrant comes after a deputy took a report of a stolen vehicle from Charlene Klinksick on Jan. 7, 2018. Klinksick stated she was watching her son’s vehicle while he was out of town. Klinksick stated her daughter, Jacqueline Schwartz, came into the house, grabbed the keys to the vehicle, and then drove the vehicle away from the house. Klinksick called Schwartz on the phone and told her to bring the vehicle back. Schwartz refused to do so.
     

Matthew Harness

Matthew Harness - On Aug. 29, Matthew Harness, 32, Deepwater, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance. Harness was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after a deputy made contact with a suspicious vehicle parked at the hotel in Osceola. The deputy observed subjects walking around some nearby buildings. When the subjects returned to the vehicle the deputy made contact with them. The deputy received consent to search the vehicle.

Upon searching the vehicle, the deputy found a metal container with a baggie inside with white crystal like residue in it. Harness admitted the container was his. The residue field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Michael Murray

Michael Murray - On Aug. 29, Mike Murray, 34, Warsaw, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Murray was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy made contact with a suspicious vehicle parked at the hotel in Osceola. The deputy observed a subject run across Highway 13 and walk around the Park Oil Company building and return back to the vehicle. The deputy pulled up to the vehicle and made contact with the subjects.

The deputy identified Murray as the subject that had gone across Highway 13. The deputy asked if the subjects would empty their pockets. Murray had a syringe in his pocket. The syringe field tested positive for methamphetamine.
     

Kimberly Donoho

Kimberly Donoho - On Aug. 29, Kimberly Donoho, 48, Kansas City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a class D felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor A unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia-prior drug offense, and a class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid of 10 grams or less-prior drug offense. Bond is set at $20,000 cash only.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy performed a traffic stop on the vehicle that Donoho was driving for an equipment violation. A record check revealed Donoho is on probation for possession of a controlled substance. When the deputy asked if she had anything illegal in the vehicle, Donoho reluctantly stated she had methamphetamine in her purse.

During the search of the vehicle, a baggie with a white crystal like substance was recovered from Donoho’s purse, along with a glass pipe and a plastic straw with a white residue on it.

The substance in the plastic baggie field tested positive for methamphetamine.
     

Lucas Boone

Lucas Boone - On Aug. 28, Lucas Boone, 24, Ozark, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a probation violation on an original class D felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $2,500 cash only.

Boone’s arrest came after a St. Clair County deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Boone was a passenger in. During the investigation a clear plastic container with white crystal substance inside was located in the vehicle. The substance field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Ashly Haines

Ashly Haines - On Aug. 28, Ashly Haines, 22, Webb, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with failure to appear in court on original charges of a class B misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, class D misdemeanor driving while revoked or suspended, and a class D misdemeanor for no insurance. Total bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

 The original charges stem from a traffic stop by a St. Clair County deputy on May 20, 2017. A deputy performed a traffic stop on the vehicle Haines was driving for a traffic violation. A record check revealed Haines had a suspended driver’s license.

During a conversation with Haines the deputy could smell the odor of alcohol. Haines admitted she had been drinking. Haines consented to performing a breathalyzer test. Her B.A.C. was .147,  which is well over the legal limit of .08.
