St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office News Updates Aug. 13-17, 2018 

Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made four arrests during the week of Aug. 13-17, 2018.

Warrant Arrest

Curtis Callahan

     Curtis Callahan- On Aug. 16, Curtis Callahan, 31, Deepwater, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a Henry County warrant charging him with a class E felony non support. Bond is set at $500 cash only.
     The original charges come from Henry County Prosecuting Attorney on Jan. 1, 2017.

     Jerod Eley- On Aug. 16, Jerod Eley, 35, Bolivar, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class A felony trafficking drugs or attempt, class D felony possession of a controlled substance, class D unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and a class D misdemeanor possession of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid of 10 grams or less. Total bond is set at $25,000 cash only.
     The arrest comes after a traffic stop by a St. Clair County deputy on the vehicle Eley was driving. A K9 unit was called to the scene to perform an exterior sniff test of the vehicle. The K9 did alert to the odor of narcotics. During a search of the vehicle a plastic bag with approximately 91 grams of a white crystal like substance was found. The substance field tested positive for methamphetamine.
     After removing Eley from the patrol vehicle at the jail, the deputy found a plastic package with marijuana wax in it, that was shoved down into the crease of the seat where Eley was just removed from.

Patty Davidson

     Patty Davidson- On Aug. 15, Patty Davidson, 40, Lowry City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony perjury in a procedure involving a felony charge. This is a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.
     The arrest comes after Davidson’s courtroom testimony did not match the written statement she gave to a St. Clair County deputy involving a motor vehicle accident on July 15, 2018.

Daniel Ledbetter

     Daniel Ledbetter- On Aug. 15, Daniel Ledbetter, 59, Republic, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a Stone County warrant for failure to appear in court on a class A misdemeanor non support and a Christian County warrant for failure to appear in court on a class E felony non support. Total bond is set at $1,500 cash only.
     The arrest comes after a traffic stop on a vehicle Ledbetter was driving by a St. Clair County deputy.
