The complete St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office News Release July 9-16, 2018
Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made 10 arrests and took a burglary report during the week of July 9-16, 2018.
Warrant Arrests

James Helms
|
James Helms- On July 15, James Helms, 35, Collins, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on two ordinance charges of defective equipment and driving without a license. Total bond is set at $301 cash only.
The original charges come from the Osceola Police Department on Sept. 23, 2016.

Bert Mace

Bert Mace- On July 15, Bert Mace, 38, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class D felony assault in the second degree, an unclassified felony armed criminal action, and a class A misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident. Bond is set at $20,000 cash only.
The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched the intersection of Highway C and Highway ZZ in reference to someone leaving the scene of an accident.
Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with Patty Davison and Zachary Andst.
Davison stated she was driving east on Highway C and passed Mace as he was driving west on Highway C. She stated that Mace turned around in a parking lot and intentionally rear ended her vehicle while she was sitting at a stop sign. Mace then turned his vehicle around and continued west on Highway C.

Laura Robling

Laura Robling- On July 15, Laura Robling, 32, Belton, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Robling was booked and released pending formal charges.
The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy pulled over the vehicle Robling was driving for equipment violations and a traffic violation. The deputy asked for and was given consent to search the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, the deputy found a bag under the passenger’s seat. Inside the bad was drug paraphernalia and a baggie containing a white crystal like substance. Robling admitted to the bag being hers. The crystal like substance field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Magen Dierenfield

Magen Dierenfield- On July 14, Magen Dierenfield, 41, Carroll, IA, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D misdemeanor driving without a valid license. Dierenfield was booked and released pending formal charges.
The arrest comes after the vehicle Dierenfield was driving was pulled over for expired tags. While the deputy was doing a record check of the driver and passenger, it was found that Dierenfield’s license was expired.

Angela Mace

Angela Mace- On July 14, Angela Mace, 51, Carroll, IA, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a class D felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $20,000 cash or surety.
The arrest comes after the vehicle Mace was a passenger in was pulled over for expired tags. A K9 unit was called to the scene to conduct an exterior sniff test of the vehicle. The K9 did alert to the presence of narcotics. During a search of the vehicle a backpack was found that had Mace’s identification in it along with a container that had a white crystal like substance in it. The substance field tested positive for methamphetamine.

John Wood

John Wood- On July 13, John Wood, 49, Jerico Springs, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class D felony burglary in the second degree. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.
The warrant comes after Wood was named as a suspect in a burglary in Collins that was reported to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office on June 29.
A St. Clair County deputy located two vehicles on SE 701 Road. There was a late model blue New Holland tractor and a blue Buick with the hood up and the ignition was missing. During the investigation the deputy found the owner of the New Holland tractor to be Robert Floyd. Contact was made with Floyd and he was unaware that the tractor was taken from his property.
On June 30, a St. Clair County deputy met up with Floyd to check out the cabin. Floyd stated that pretty much everything had been disturbed in the house. Floyd stated he would get a list of items that were missing and a damage estimate to the deputy as soon as he could.

Justen Myers

Justen Myers- On July 11, Justen Myers, 30, Carthage, was arrested on two St. Clair County warrants for probation violations on an original class E felony domestic assault in the fourth degree and a class E felony unlawful use of a weapon. Total bond is set $1000 cash only.
Both cases stem from Osceola Police Department investigations in April 2017 and July 2017.

James Foltz- On July 11, James Foltz, 46, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him failure to appear in court on an ordinance charge of fail to signal/gave improper signal when stopping and turning left or right. Bond is set at $468 cash only.
The original charge comes from the Osceola Police Department on April 12, 2018.

Jeffery Carter

Jeffery Carter- On July 10, Jeffery Carter, 34, Bolivar, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class E felony assault in the third degree and a class B misdemeanor property damage in the second degree. Carter was placed on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.
The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to the Pilot Travel Center in reference to property damage.
Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Summer Blakeley. Blakeley stated that while traveling on Highway 13 her step-son, Jeffery Carter, got angry and threw his cell phone, breaking the windshield of her vehicle. Blakeley stated Carter began to threaten her with an ice pick. Blakely pulled the vehicle into the parking lot of the Pilot Travel Center. Blakeley then stated Carter got out of the vehicle and stabbed the front and rear passenger tires of the vehicle with the ice pick.

Keith Daniels

Keith Daniels- On July 10, Keith Daniels, 36, El Dorado Springs, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him an infraction charge of exceeding posted speed limit by 1-5 mph over, an infraction charge of not seat belt, and two infraction charges of driver failing to secure child less than 16 years old in a properly adjusted/fastened restraint. Total bond is set at $211 cash only.
The charges come after a traffic stop by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Nov. 12, 2017.

Burglary in Roscoe
On July 12, a St. Clair County deputy took a report concerning a burglary at a residence on SW Highway 82.
The deputy made contact with Aaron Brightwell. Brightwell stated he has been renovating his property. He also stated when he had left his property, everything was locked. When he returned to his property, he noticed that someone had pried open the door to the residence breaking the door jamb. Upon entering his residence he noticed that someone had taken two Stihl chainsaws, a model MS 271 with an 18 inch bar and a model MS 170 with a 16 inch bar.
The deputy took photos of the damage and searched for evidence. Total estimated loss value is $560.
