Property Damage in El Dorado Springs
On Jan. 15, a St. Clair County deputy met with Gerald Humphrey and his son, Kyle Humphrey, at their residence located at 10050 SW 764 Private Road in St. Clair County Missouri in reference to property damage.
Humphrey said this morning his dad discovered pieces of drywall on his bedroom floor. Humphrey said upon further investigation, he discovered a bullet laying in the floor and a bullet hole in the wall of the residence.
The deputy observed the bullet laying on the floor and inspected the bullet hole. The deputy did locate a small dent in an interior door. The dent appeared to have been made from the bullet. From the deputy’s observations, it appears the bullet entered the residence through the south wall directly below a window, traveled across the room approximately 1.5 ft off the floor, and struck the interior bedroom door before landing on the floor next to the door.
The deputy photographed the bullet as it was found, the hole in the drywall, and the dent in the door before inspecting the exterior of the residence. Outside the residence the deputy located a round hole where the bullet went through the siding before entering the residence. The deputy photographed the siding and checked the trajectory and determined the bullet was likely fired from a weapon in the wooded area south of the residence. All of the other buildings on the property as well as all of the vehicles were checked and did not locate any further damage.
