News updates from St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office July 31-Aug. 4, 2017

           Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made one warrant arrests during the first part of the week of July 31-Aug. 4, 2017. There was also four Court Case Update.

Warrant arrest  

            Jacob Hudgens- On Aug. 3, Jacob Hudgens, 40, Wheatland, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety. The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation in the early morning hours the same day when a deputy was patrolling on NE 50 Road, Osceola, and noticed a vehicle parked off the roadway in the grass with a male subject standing outside the vehicle.

            While speaking to the male subject two additional subjects emerged from a nearby creek bed.  One of those individuals was Hudgens. During the investigation a small clear plastic bag containing a white crystal substance was located in a pack of  cigarettes in Hudgens’ pocket. The substance field tested positive for methamphetamine.
