Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made five warrant arrests, took reports of stealing, and burglary during the week of June 27-July 3, 2017. There were also three Court Case Updates.
Warrant arrests
Kevin Pippenger- On June 30, Kevin Pippenger, 59, Appleton City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony possession of a controlled substance, class B misdemeanor failure to register vehicle, and class C misdemeanor fail to signal. Bond is set at $3,500 cash or surety.

The charges stem from an investigation the previous day when two deputies were patrolling Appleton City when a motorcycle traveling east on Fourth Street with an inoperable taillight was noticed. The motorcycle turned into the MFA gas pumps without signaling on Fourth Street. A traffic stop was conducted and the motorcycle continued to travel into the grass north of the MFA parking lot. Contact was made with the driver, Pippenger, who stated he did not have the motorcycle licensed or insured. Further investigation revealed he was in possession of a clear plastic bag with a crystal substance inside that field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Alan Haverland- On June 30, Alan Haverland, 59, Deepwater, was arrested on a Carroll County warrant for failing to appear in court on an infraction of failing to display plates on a vehicle or trailer. The warrant was issued on Aug. 25, 2016 and stems from a Missouri State Highway Patrol investigation on April 30. Bond is set at $150 cash only.
Heather Lavish- On June 29, the Osceola Police Department arrested Heather Lavish, 35, Osceola, on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class A misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

The charges stem from an investigation on Jan. 24, when St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office deputies, members of the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdiction Drug Task Force, and Osceola Police Department officers went to at Lavish’s residence on C Street, Osceola, in reference to drug activity. During the investigation a glass pipe with a white powdery and burnt substance inside was located. A straw was also located inside a plastic container. The substance inside the glass pipe field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Robert Robinson III- On June 29, 2017 Robert Robinson III, 44, Montrose, was arrested on two St. Clair County warrants for failing to appear in court on ordinance violations. Robinson is charged with exceeding the posted speed limit by 16-19 miles per hour and expired license. Both charges stem from Osceola Police Department investigation son March 3, 2016. The warrants were issued on Oct. 26, 2016 and total bond is set at $200 cash only.

Michael McDonald- On June 28, Michael McDonald, 32, Concordia, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on two infractions from a Missouri State Highway Patrol investigation on June 7, 2016. The warrants charge with McDonald with no seat belt and failing to secure a child less than 16 years old in a seat belt. Total bond is set at $20 cash only.

Burglary reported near Iconium
On July 2, a St. Clair County deputy took a burglary report on NE 656 Private Road, near Iconium. William Martin reported his father, Gary Martin, is in the process of remodeling a house and showed up at the property and discovered the residence was broken into and several items missing. Gary Martin met the deputy and showed where damage to the residence was made when it was entered. He noted missing items included a large box containing reloading supplies, miscellaneous food, 11 Drill Master 4 1/2" hand grinders, five fishing poles, and a Kobalt socket set. The total estimated value of the items is $3,261. Multiple suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
Sheds and residence broken into in Schell City
On July 1, a St. Clair County deputy took a burglary report on SW 1201 Road, Schell City. Kevin Fast reported sheds and a residence on the property were broken into. A 24 pack of Michelob Ultra cans and approximately six cans of Miller Lite beer were missing from the residence. The total value of the missing items and the damage was estimated at $210.00.
Grill reported stolen from property on TT Highway
On June 29, a St. Clair County deputy took a report from Marty Vaughn in reference to a barbecue grill he suspects is stolen. Vaughn stated the grill was on his brother’s property on SE TT Highway, Osceola, and now it is missing. A suspect was named. He estimated the value of the grill at $250.
