The complete St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office News Release and Court Case Updates April 17-24, 2017

          Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made 10 warrant arrests and took reports of property damage, stealing and burglary during the week of April 17-24, 2017.

Chelsea Schussler

            Chelsea Schussler- On April 24, Chelsea Schussler, 26, Montrose, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with two class B felony counts of distribution of a controlled substance and four class C felony counts of possession of a controlled substance. The warrant was issued on April 21 and bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. The charges stem from a Missouri State Highway Patrol investigation on Nov. 25, 2016.

Robert Latta

           Robert Latta- On April 24, Robert Latta, 54, Osceola, was arrested in St. Clair County on a Cass County warrant charging him with class D felony non support with total arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments due under order of support. The warrant was issued on Jan. 13, 2016 and bond is set at $20,000 cash only.

            Jayme Boyd- On Friday, April 21, Jayme Boyd, 24, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with class E felony property damage-first degree. The warrant was issued the same day and bond is set at $3,500 cash or surety.

            The charge stems from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation on April 9 when a deputy took a property damage report on NE 100 Road, Osceola. Timothy Stevens reported  Boyd walked by his truck and hit it leaving a large dent on the driver's side front quarter panel. Damage was estimated at $800.

Cynthia Chaluisant

             Cynthia Chaluisant- On April 21, Cynthia Chaluisant, 37, Clinton, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for probation violation on an original class C felony charge of possessing a controlled substance. The warrant was issued March 22 and bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

             The original charge stems from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office and Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdictional Drug Task Force investigation in April 2013 at a residence on TT Highway, Osceola. During the investigation a glass pipe that contained white powder which field tested positive for methamphetamine was located in Chaluisant’s purse.

Krista Ewing

            Krista Ewing- On April 21, Krista Ewing, 30, Wheatland, was arrested at the St. Clair County Courthouse on a Jackson County warrant for failing to appear in court on two misdemeanor traffic offense. Total bond is set at $500 or 10-percent cash.

Kayne Gonzales

              Kayne Gonzales- On April 20, Kayne Gonzales, 21, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class A misdemeanor driving while revoked-second or subsequent offense and class B misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. The warrant was issued on April 19 and bond is set at $2,500 cash or surety.

            The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation during the late night hours on Feb. 12 when a deputy discovered a vehicle running with Gonzales slumped over the steering wheel in Lowry City. During the investigation it was determined Gonzales’ license was revoked and he was driving while intoxicated.

Larry Dablemont

            Larry Dablemont- On April 19, Larry Dablemont, 69, Bolivar, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on original charges of class A misdemeanor stealing and class B misdemeanor trespassing. The warrant was issued on Nov. 8, 2016 and bond is set at $1,500 cash or surety.

            The original charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation on May 30, 2016 when a deputy took a report on SE 1200 Road, Collins. Robert Floyd reported a homemade gate missing.  The value of the gate was estimated at $200. It was noted Dablemont entered onto the property without permission and no trespassing sign was posted near the gate.

Leroy Covey

           Leroy Covey- On April 18, Leroy Covey, 28, Schell City, was arrested on a St Clair County warrant charging him with of class D felony possession of a controlled substance. The warrant was issued the same day and bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.

            The charge stems from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation the same day when a deputy initiated a traffic stop in the parking lot of Casey’s General Store, Appleton City. During the investigation a small bag with a white crystalline substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine was located.  A glass pipe for smoking methamphetamine and a pipe used for smoking marijuana were also located.

Velda Motley

            Velda Motley- On April 18, Velda Motley, 63, Lowry City, was arrested in St. Clair County on a Henry County warrant for failing to appear in court on an original class C felony charge of tampering with a motor vehicle. The warrant was issued on March 28 and bond is set at $5,000 cash only. The original charge stems from a Henry County Sheriff’s Office investigation of an incident on Oct. 25, 2016.

Terry Wright

              Terry Wright- On April 17, Terry Wright, 66, Lee’s Summit, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class B felony child molestation-first degree. The warrant was issued on April 14 and bond is set at $100,000 cash only. The charge stems from a Lee’s Summit Police Department investigation of an incident that occurred in St. Clair County on July 17, 2016.

Burglary reported at Collins Christian Church

            On April, 24, a St. Clair County deputy took a burglary report at the Collins Christian Church on DeLaporte Street, Collins. An individual cleaning the church arrived during the morning hours and discovered a broken window. Further investigation revealed entry was made into the building and a teal Shark vacuum was missing. Evidence was located at the scene and is being sent for analysis.

 

Property damage report taken on NW 576

            During the early morning hours on April, 21, a St. Clair County deputy took a property damage report on NW 576 Road, Lowry City. Geoffrey Lysinger reported hearing a vehicle coming down the gravel road towards his residence. He looked outside and observed a vehicle sitting in front of Kids Chapel Church. He said the vehicle accelerated and was sliding side to side on the gravel road. Lysinger noted the vehicle left the road several times and eventually struck his mail box and post. He described the vehicle as dark colored, late model Dodge Ram Quad Cab with  a newer body style. Damage was estimated at $95.

 

Vehicle stolen from residence on
Highway 54 later found in Green County

            On April 22, a St. Clair County deputy took a report on SE Highway 54, Osceola, in reference to a stolen vehicle. John Alexander reported his white 1998 Dodge half ton extended cab truck was stolen from his yard.  Later the same day the vehicle was found by Missouri State Highway Patrol in Green County. The vehicle was found abandoned. It was processed and released to the owner.

Pamela Williams

            On April 21, Jessica Thomas, 24, Osceola, was arrested by Osceola Police Department on a no bond warrant for absconding supervision on an original offense of felony possession of a controlled substance. A warrant is still active for Pamela Williams, 27, Osceola, for absconding supervision on an original offense of felony receiving stolen property.
