Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made four arrests and took reports of stealing and trespassing during the first part of the week Jan. 22-30.

Warrant arrests

Keri Wright

            Keri Wright- On Jan. 26, Keri Wright, 23, Appleton City, was arrested on St. Clair County warrants charging her with class C felony forgery, probation revocation on a class A misdemeanor assault third degree, and ordinance violations of driving while revoked and failing to register a vehicle. Total bond is set at $22,500 cash or surety with $618 cash only. The felony forgery charge stems from a Osceola Police Department investigation on September 2016. The original misdemeanor assault charge stems from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation in March 2014 and the two ordinance violations stem from Appleton City Police investigations in June 2016.

            Timothy Loney- On Jan. 25, Timothy Loney, 34, Appleton City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony possession of a controlled substance and class A misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.

            The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation the previous day when a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 52 near the St. Clair and Henry county line. Loney was identified as the driver. During the investigation a glass pipe that field tested positive for methamphetamine was located in a back pack diaper bag found in the vehicle.      

Andrew Collins

           Andrew Collins- On Jan. 24, Andrew Collins, 27, Springfield, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony possession of a controlled substance and class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

            The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation the previous day at a residence on NE B Highway, Osceola. During the investigation deputies located Collins hiding in the basement, below the stairwell. A deputy located a black hat, gray shirt, a lighter, and a small plastic bag containing a powder substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine. Further investigation located several used syringes and miscellaneous pipes in the basement of the residence. Collins was taken into custody and an arrest warrant was obtained.   

Melissa Bullock

           Melissa Bullock- On Jan. 24, Melissa Bullock, 49, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with class D felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

            The charge stems from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation the previous day when a traffic stop was conducted on NE 250 Road, Osceola, in reference to expired registration. During the investigation admissions were made to possessing methamphetamine. Paraphernalia and a bag containing a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine were handed to the deputy. Bullock was taken into custody and an arrest warrant was obtained.

Items reported stolen from Deepwater

            On Jan. 26, a St. Clair County deputy took a burglary report on NE 1270 Road, Deepwater. John Ure reported a Dewalt power polisher and a small Stihl limbing chainsaw stolen from a barn on his property. The total value of the items was estimated at $650.

Trailer reported stolen in Appleton City

            On Jan. 24, a St. Clair County deputy took a report from Terry Powell in reference to a 2016 Rice brand 18-foot flatbed trailer stolen from a lot west of his True Value store on West Fourth Street, Appleton City. The value of the trailer was estimated at $2,685.

Trespass complaint

            On Jan. 23, St. Clair County deputies took a report in reference to trespassing at property on NE 309 Private Road, Osceola. Lori Dulock reported an individual was trespassing on her property. She noted the individual was warned to stay off her property multiple times in the recent past.

Firearms stolen on NW 751 Road

            On January 22, a St. Clair County deputy took a burglary complaint on NW 751 Road, Appleton City. Robert (Mike) Dines reported he received a call from a friend who was informed by a neighbor that a gate to his driveway was off its hinges. Dines explained he had been out of town since Jan. 20. When he arrived he noticed the gate off its hinges and standing open. He stated his front door to his residence was standing open and the striker plate and door jamb were damaged.

            Dines said his residence was ransacked and some of his rifles were laying on the living room floor and in the hallway. He checked his safe and discovered it was cleaned out and approximately 20 guns were stolen including a CMMG AR-15, M1 carbine, Mossberg .22 semi-auto rifle, Thompson Center Hawken .50 cal black powder rifle, CVA .50 cal black powder rifle, CVA .45 cal rifle, 6mm Remington bolt action rifle, 243 cal Remington bolt action rifle, and several other firearms. A total value of all the firearms stolen was not available at this time. A request for prosecution was signed and evidence was located at the scene.
