Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies have made two warrant arrests, recovered a stolen vehicle, taken reports of stealing, and property damage during the first part of the week of Jan. 16-20.

Erika Bootier- On Jan. 19, Erika Bootier, 24, Springfield, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for probation violation on four original counts of class C felony forgery. The warrant was issued on August 31, 2016 and bond is set at $5,000 cash only. The original charges stem from incidents in December 2014 when Bootier cashed four checks that were stolen from an individual.

Darren Troxel- During the late night hours on Jan. 18, a St. Clair County deputy was patrolling on TT Highway, Osceola, and noticed a vehicle parked on the side of the road with no one around. Further investigation found four individuals hunting for arrowheads. A check discovered one of the individuals, Darren Troxel, 49, El Dorado Springs, had an active St. Clair County warrant for his arrest. Troxel was arrested on the warrant charging him with class A misdemeanor resisting arrest.
The warrant was issued in October 2015 and stems from an investigation in February 2015 when Troxel ran from a St. Clair County deputy who was at a residence in Collins looking for another individual.

Gator reported stolen on NW 1150 Road
On Jan. 17, a St. Clair County deputy took a stealing report from Robert Hood, NW 1150 Road, Montrose. Hood stated he located fresh tire tracks going into his property and a chain on his gate was cut. He said a pile of tires was moved to open the gate. He noted he inspected his property and a John Deere Industrial Gator UTV was missing. The UTV was painted industrial orange with a green fender on the right side. It has a diesel engine and is a 4x6 with all new tires. The value of the UTV was estimated at $2,500.
Stolen vehicle from Texas recovered
In the early morning hours on Jan. 17, a St. Clair County deputy responded to Highway 82 at NE 775 Road, Osceola in reference to a vehicle in a ditch. Once on scene a blue Lexus 300 was located in a ditch. A check on the license plate came back the vehicle was registered to an individual from Willard. It was also noted the plate was reported stolen out of Springfield.
A check of the vehicle identification number came back the vehicle was reported stolen from Garland, Texas, on Dec. 15, 2016. The vehicle was towed and contact was made with the Garland Police Department.
Property damage reported
On Jan. 17, a St. Clair County deputy took a report from Aaron Roberts in reference to property damage. Roberts stated in the early morning hours on Jan. 16 an individual kicked the front passenger door of his 2011 Chevrolet Aveo. Roberts noted he is trying to allow the individual to make good on paying for the damage to the vehicle, but no attempts have been made to make payment or arranged to get the vehicle fixed. The incident occurred on SW 1051 Road, El Dorado Springs.
