Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies have made three warrant arrests and took two burglary reports during the first part of the week from Jan. 2-6. He noted arrest warrants were issued for several individuals.
Burglary reported on NW 1150, Appleton City
On Jan. 5, a St. Clair County deputy took a theft report from Clifford Parsons. He reported an Outback S-Lite GPS system was stolen from his truck that was parked on his property on NW 1150 Road, Appleton City. Parsons said the GPS system is $995 new and he estimated the price of a used unit at $600.
Burglary report on U Highway
On Jan. 4, a St. Clair County deputy took a burglary report on NE U Highway, Osceola. Frances Wood and Billy Wood Jr. reported a Lincoln arc welder and six vehicle batteries stolen from their property. A suspect was named.

Sheila Prater- On Jan. 5, Sheila Prater, 48, Appleton City, was arrested on East Burbank St., Appleton City on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of no insurance. Bond is set at $266.50 cash only. The charge stems from an investigation on June 23 when a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle she was driving.
Christopher Linder- On Jan. 4, Christopher Linder, 39, Kansas City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with failing to appear in court on a class D felony charge of possession of burglary tools. The original charge stems from an incident in the early morning hours on Sept. 19, 2016 when a deputy was investigating a burglary on SW 1371 Road. During the investigation two vehicles were observed heading in the direction of the property that was burglarized. Contact was made with one of the vehicles. Linder was the passenger in the vehicle.

Further investigation revealed a backpack containing a small ATV battery, black camouflaged mask, two pairs of gloves, two screwdrivers, and two flashlights in his possession. A pry bar was also located in the trunk of the vehicle. Linder had a single bullet in his pocket which matched the rounds stolen from the residence.
Daniel Thomas- On Jan. 3, Daniel Thomas, 27, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony unlawful use of weapon, class E felony unlawful possession of firearm, and two class A misdemeanor domestic assault third degree. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.

The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation on Jan. 2, when deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in progress involving a firearm on NW 101 Road, Osceola. During the investigation admissions were made by Thomas about being involved in a domestic disturbance involving several people. Further investigation learned Thomas allegedly pointed a Franchi 20 gauge shotgun at a family member and threatened to the individual. Thomas also made admissions to hiding a Franchi 20 gauge shotgun because he is a convicted felon.

Shawn Hughes- On Jan. 4, a St. Clair County warrant was issued for Shawn Hughes, 28, Springfield, for failing to appear in court on a class A misdemeanor charge of non support. Bond is set at $1,000 cash only.
Zachariah Bishop- On Jan. 3, a St. Clair County warrant was issued for Zachariah Bishop, 33, Montrose, for failing to appear in court on a class C felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $10,000 cash only.

The original charge stems from an incident on Sept. 24, 2014 when a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to Concord Street, Appleton City, in reference to a violation of an ex-parte. During the investigation, Bishop was taken into custody. A search of his person located a bag that contained a white powdery substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.
Delbert Gould- On Jan. 3, a St. Clair County warrant was issued for Delbert Gould, 32, Osceola, charging him with failing to appear in court on a class C felony burglary-second degree and a class C felony theft/stealing.

The original charges stem from an incident that occurred in September 2015. In October 2015, a St. Clair County deputy took a burglary report on NE 310 Private Road, Osceola. Michael Gonder reported damage to a door of his residence and several items missing from inside including a pair of camouflaged boots, a propane bottle, and a power washer. The total value of the items stolen was estimated at $2,855. During the investigation Gould was identified utilizing surveillance photos taken from the property. In one photo Gould is wearing the stolen boots.
Dillion Bennett- On Jan. 3, a St. Clair County warrant was issued for Dillion Bennett, 33, Nevada, for failing to appear in court for a probation violation on an original class C felony burglary second degree charge and a class D felony charge of property damage first degree. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

The original charges stem from an incident on Dec. 31, 2015 when St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to a residence on SW 101 Road in reference to a stealing in progress. The property is owned by David Lile and the residence was recently destroyed by fire.
Deputies arrived on scene and located Bennett sitting in a truck filled with metal scrap items taken from the structure. The investigation revealed Bennett did not have permission to be on the property. The owner arrived on scene and identified the items and advised a metal outbuilding that was not damaged by the fire was also missing from the property. He noted the metal in the back of the truck was from the missing building. Items that were inside the building were found beside the truck. Damage to the building was estimated at $1,500 and the value of the items taken was estimated at $1,000.
