Sheriff Scott Keeler said deputies have made eight warrant arrests and took reports of hay bales being set on fire and a stolen chain saw during the first part of the week of Sept. 19-22.

Hay bales burnt in Rockville

            On Sept. 22, a St. Clair County deputy took a report on SW 1075 Road, Rockville, in reference to hay bales being burnt. When the deputy arrived Taberville Volunteer Fire Department was on scene and the burning bales were extinguished and removed from the rows. Michael Hallford reported the bales of hay were purposely torched by someone. Evidence was collected.

Chainsaw reported stolen

            On Sept. 22, a St. Clair County deputy took a report from Lewis Thomas in reference to a theft. Thomas said his MS250 Stihl chainsaw was stolen from his residence on NW 526 Road, Osceola.

Warrant arrests

Brent Thomas

           Brent Thomas- On Aug. 22, Brent Thomas, 43, Osceola, was arrested by Lowry City Police Department on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on class D felony charge of driving while revoked. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

            The original charge stems from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation on July 8 when a deputy made contact with Thomas who had struck a deer with a vehicle he was driving. The investigation revealed Thomas had four prior offenses for driving while revoked or suspended.

            Roy Love- On Sept. 21, Roy Love, 21, El Dorado Springs, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with failing to appear in court on class B misdemeanor exceeded the posted speed limit by 25 miles-per-hour or over and an infraction of person under 18 operating or riding in a truck failing to wear properly adjusted/fastened safety belt.  The warrant was issued on Aug. 15. Bond is set at $470 cash only.

            The original charge stems from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation on May 27 when a deputy conducted a traffic stop on in the Tiifin area for speeding.  

Samuel O’Bryan

            Samuel O’Bryan- On Sept. 21, Samuel O’Bryan, 50, Blue Springs, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court appear in court on an original class C felony charge of possessing a controlled substance. The warrant was issued on Sept. 15. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

             The original charge stems from an investigation on April 9 when a St. Clair County deputy made a traffic stop on a recreational vehicle that O’Bryan was a passenger in. The vehicle was traveling south on Highway 13 turning west onto B Highway, Osceola, and the taillights were not working. During the investigation a glass pipe with a white powdery substance was located. The substance field tested positive for methamphetamine.

              Lesley Wilkerson- On Sept. 21, Lesley Wilkerson, 41, Clinton, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to pay fines and costs on an original misdemeanor charge of no insurance. The warrant was issued in May and bond is set at $241.50. The original charge stems from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation on March 2 when a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Wilkerson was driving.

Samantha Rife

            Samantha Rife- On Sept. 21, Samantha Rife, 33, Lowry City, was arrested in St. Clair County on a Henry County warrant for failing to appear in court on an original misdemeanor charge of no seat belt. The warrant was issued on Aug. 22 and bond is set at $10 cash only. The original charge stems from a Missouri State Highway Patrol investigation in April.

Mark Degrave

            Mark Degrave and Christopher Linder- On Sept. 19, Mark Degrave, 50, El Dorado Springs, and Christopher Linder, 39, Kansas City, were arrested on St. Clair County warrants charging them each with class D felony possession of burglary tools. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety in each case.

Christopher Linder

            The charges stem from an incident in the early morning hours the same day when a deputy was investigating a burglary on SW 1371 Road. During the investigation two vehicles were observed heading in the direction of the property that was burglarized. Contact was made with one of the vehicles. Degrave was the driver and Linder was the passenger. Degrave was identified as an individual recently caught on camera trespassing on neighboring property.

            Further investigation revealed a backpack containing a small ATV battery, black camouflaged mask, two pairs of gloves, two screwdrivers, and two flashlights in their possession. A pry bar was also located in the trunk of the vehicle. Linder had a single bullet in his pocket which matched the rounds stolen from the residence.

Ronald Botteron

            Ronald Botteron- On Sept. 19, Ronald Botteron, 46, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with misdemeanor driving while revoked. Bond is set at $1,500 cash or surety. The charge stems from an investigation the previous day when a St. Clair County deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Botteron was driving near the intersection of B Highway and NE 175 Road, Osceola.

Adam Collins

            Adam Collins- On Sept. 19, Adam Collins, 29, Ozark, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class A misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $5000 cash or surety. The charge stems from a Missouri State Highway Patrol investigation in April.             Disclaimer: Arrest records are public information.
