Sheriff Scott Keeler said deputies made 13 warrant arrests and took two reports of property damage during the week of Aug. 15-22. He reminds citizens of the annual nationwide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” crackdown running through Sep. 5.
Felony warrant arrests
Scott Thrush- On Aug. 22, Scott Thrush, 51, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony unlawful use of a weapon and class A misdemeanor assault-third degree. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.

The charges stem from an incident the previous day when St. Clair County deputies responded to SE 1147 Road, Osceola, in reference to an assault. Witnesses stated Thrush allegedly drove by on an ATV cursing and threatening a couple in their yard. He stopped, drew a handgun and pointed it at a male individual while making threats to shoot and kill him. Thrush holstered the handgun, walked into the individual’s yard and took a swing at male. A fight ensued and multiple punches were exchanged. Thrush was taken into custody and transported to the St. Clair County Jail.

Sheridi Wolfe- On Aug. 22, Sheridi Wolfe, 29, Reeds Spring, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with class B felony distribution, delivery, manufacture or production of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety. The charge stems from a Missouri State Highway Patrol investigation in December 2015.
Jamie Oehring- On Aug. 21, Jamie Oehring, 38, Rockville, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with class C felony assault-second degree. Bond is set at $20,000 cash or surety.

The charge stems from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation the previous day when a deputy was dispatched to Ellett Memorial Hospital, Appleton City, in reference to an assault. A female victim reported Oehring became angry and stabbed her in the arm with a large barbecue style fork.

Nathan Smith- On Aug. 21, Nathan Smith, 35, Independence, was arrested at the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office on an Independence Police Department warrant charging him with felony possession of a controlled substance-amphetamine. Bond is set at $4,900 with 10–percent cash or secured.

James Lysinger |
James Lysinger-On Aug. 20, James Lysinger, 38, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on an original charge of no seat belt. Lysinger was also arrested on a Henry County probation violation warrant on an original felony charge of driving without a valid license-third offense. Total bond is set at $ $2,510 cash only.

Brent Thomas- On Aug. 19, a St. Clair County deputy arrested Brent Thomas, 43, Osceola, at the St. Clair County Courthouse on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony driving while revoked. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. The charge stems from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation on July 8 when a deputy made contact with Thomas who had struck a deer with a vehicle he was driving. The investigation revealed Thomas had four prior offenses for driving while revoked or suspended.

Maria Gonzalez- On Aug. 19, a St. Clair County deputy arrested Maria Gonzalez, 44, Osceola, at the St. Clair County Courthouse on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with class C felony assault-second degree. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety. The charge stems from an Osceola Police Department investigation on July 28.

Clinton Oehring- On Aug. 17, Clinton Oehring, 25, Rockville, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony possession of a controlled substance and class D felony resisting arrest for a felony. Bond is set at $20,000 cash or surety.
The charges stem from an incident the previous day when St. Clair County deputies were on patrol on H Highway and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Oehring was driving. When contact was first made with Oehring he identified himself as another individual. During the investigation a clear glass container with residue inside that field tested positive for methamphetamine was located in his possession. While being taken into custody, Oehring fled on foot and was taken into custody after a short chase. A bag with a white powdery substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine was also located in the vehicle.
Misdemeanor warrant arrests

Michael Books- On Aug. 19, a St. Clair County deputy arrested Michael Books, 43, Bolivar, at the St. Clair County Courthouse on two Polk County warrants for failing to appear in court. Books’ is facing two misdemeanor charges of stealing. Total bond is set at $400 cash only. The charges stem from Bolivar Police Department investigations.

Stephanie Shivers- On Aug. 18, a St. Clair County deputy arrested Stephanie Shivers, 36, Lowry City, on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with class A misdemeanor assault third degree. Bond is set at $2,500 cash or surety. The charge stems from an incident on July 28 when deputies responded to Lowry City, in reference to an assault that occurred on North Burdette Street. A female victim reported Shivers attacked and assaulted her.

George Richey- On Aug. 18, George Richey, 54, Appleton City, was arrested by the Appleton City Police Department of a St. Clair County warrant charging him with an unclassified misdemeanor supplying liquor to a minor. Bond is set at $2,500 cash or surety. The charge stems from an incident in January when Richey allegedly purchased alcohol for a minor who was later arrested for minor in possession.

Torin White- On Aug. 16, Torin White, 37, Kansas City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of failing to register a motor vehicle. Bond is set at $222 cash only.
The warrant was issued on June 8. The original charge stems from a traffic stop conducted by a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office deputy on Aug. 1. During the investigation it was determined White’s vehicle had an expired Kansas temporary license plate. The plate expired in May 2014.

Skyla Carroll- On Aug. 17, Skyla Carroll, 27, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with class A misdemeanor hindering prosecution. Bond is set at $7,500 cash or surety. The charge stems from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation on June 26, when Carroll aided an individual who was known to be wanted on several felony warrants.

Property damage reports
On Aug. 20, a St. Clair County deputy took a property damage report on NW 100 Road, Osceola. Victor Garrett reported damage to his left rear tail light on his 2013 Ford pickup truck. Garrett said the taillight was broken and it appears to have been shot out. He also reported a dent on the metal siding of his house.
On Aug. 19, a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to Highway B and NE 251 Road, Osceola, to take reports of assault and property damage. Victor Garrett reported an individual came to his residence and drove through a wire gate. Garrett said the gate is damaged and a light was knocked off a post. Damage was estimated at $180.

Warrants issued
Austin Turner- On Aug. 16, a St. Clair County warrant was issued for Austin Turner, 21, Springfield, charging him with class D felony resisting arrest by fleeing and a misdemeanor charge of driving while revoked or suspended. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.
The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation on July 16 after deputies were dispatched to assist Osceola Police Department with stopping two motorcycles traveling at a high rate of speed and failing to yield. The motorcycles were originally traveling northbound on Highway 13. When they reached Lowry City they turned around and started traveling southbound on Highway 13. Several deputies joined in the attempt to stop the vehicles. While passing Highway 82 speeds reached approximately 135 miles per hour.
The motorcycles continued south on Highway 13 into Polk County. As they approached Highway 32, Bolivar, one motorcycle pulled over and stopped. The driver, Eric Woods, 21, Springfield, was taken into custody and charged with class D felony resisting arrest by fleeing. Turner continued on and eluded law enforcement. He was not apprehended. During the investigation it was discovered Turner’s driver’s license is revoked.
