The complete St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office News Release and Court Case updates July 4-11, 2016

Sheriff Scott Keeler said 11 individuals were arrested on warrants during the week of July 4-11.

Jordan Stillwell

Jordan Stillwell- On July 11, Jordan Stillwell, 18, Flemington, was arrested on St. Clair County warrants for failing to appear in court on several misdemeanor charges and infractions. Charges include failing to wear safety belt, speeding, failure to register motor vehicle, and no insurance. Total bond is set at $925 cash only. The charges stem Missouri State Highway Patrol investigations on April 29 and May 1.

Robert Smith

Robert Smith- On July 11, Robert Smith, 34, Clinton, was arrested on St. Clair County warrant for failing to pay fines on three misdemeanor charges of pursuing/taking/killed/possessed or disposed of wildlife illegally. Total bond is set $1,364 cash only. The charges stem from a Missouri Department of Conservation investigation on December 11, 2012.

Justin King

Justin King- On July 11, Justin King, 24, Springfield, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrants for failing to appear in court on a seat belt violation and a misdemeanor charge of operating a motor vehicle without a license. Total bond is set at $282. The original charges stem from a Missouri State Highway Patrol investigation on April 14.

Rocky Willis

Rocky Willis- On July 10, Rocky Willis, 38, Osceola, was arrested on two St. Clair County warrants and one Dallas County warrant. The St. Clair County warrants charge Willis with a probation violation on an original class C felony charge of possession of a controlled substance and two class A misdemeanor counts of passing a bad check. Total bond on the St. Clair County warrant is $5,900 cash only. The Dallas County warrant is a no bond warrant charging Willis with probation violation on an original class D felony of no valid license third or subsequent offense.

Skyla Carroll

Skyla Carroll- On July 10, Skyla Carroll, 27, Osceola, was arrested on a St Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on class A misdemeanor assault third degree. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. The warrant was issued on July 6. The original charge stems from an incident on March 12 when Carroll allegedly assaulted two individuals at a residence on NE CC Highway.

Terry Lesmeister

Terry Lesmeister- On July 8, Terry Lesmeister, 24, Warrensburg, was arrested on a probation warrant on three original St. Clair County charges, class B felony burglary-first degree, class C felony theft, and class D felony property damage. Bond is set at $10,000 cash only.

The original charges stem from a burglary that occurred at Dains Fish Farm on Highway H, Schell City, on April 12, 2014. Ammunition, cash from register, several rolls of change, and a computer and monitor for the surveillance system was stolen from the store. Damage was also reported to the front and rear doors.

Zachary Dewey

Zachary Dewey- On July 7, Zachary Dewey, 27, Appleton City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony burglary-second degree. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.

The charge stems from an investigation on May 18 when a St. Clair County deputy took a report from Richard Foster in reference to a burglary at the Appleton City storage units located at the corner of Third and Popular. Foster reported several items missing including a black, refinished trunk containing dishes, photo albums, knives, watches, and the ashes of his deceased family member. During the investigation several items identified as taken from the storage unit were located at Dewey’s former residence on West Second Street, Appleton City, and at his new residence on West Hightower Street, El Dorado Springs.

David Eaton Jr.

David Eaton Jr.- On July 6, David Eaton Jr., 42, Lowry City, was arrested in Lowry City on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony assault-second degree and class A misdemeanor violation of an order of protection for an adult. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.

The charges stem from a St. Clair County investigation on May 10 when deputies were dispatched to the Lowry City area in reference to a violation of an order of protection. During the investigation it was learned Eaton was driving a truck on Highway 13 and allegedly pulled in front of an individual who has an order of protection against him. Eaton began hitting his brakes in an attempt to cause the individual to wreck.  The individual hit the rear of Eaton’s vehicle and accelerated causing Eaton to spin out of his way.

Kayne Gonzales

Kayne Gonzales- On July 6, Kayne Gonzales20, Lowry City, was arrested in Lowry City on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class A misdemeanor domestic assault-third degree. Bond is set at $2,500 cash or surety. The charges stem from a Lowry City Police Department investigation on April 20.

Michael Taylor

Michael Taylor- On July 5, Michael Taylor, 27, Deepwater, was arrested in Lowry City on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on a class C felony charge of domestic assault-second degree and class D felony resisting arrest by fleeing. Bond is set at $10,000 cash only. The charges stem from a Lowry City Police Department investigation on April 24. Taylor was also arrested on a Clinton Police Department warrant for failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge. Bond on that charge is $500 cash only.

Brian Hoffman

Brian Hoffman- On July 5, Brian Hoffman, 47, Blue Springs, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony tampering with a motor vehicle-first degree, misdemeanor driving while intoxicated-alcohol, and misdemeanor driving while revoked. Bond is set at $12,500 cash or surety. The charges stem from a Lowry City Police Department investigation on July 4.
