Collins sentenced to Missouri Department of Corrections

On June 6, Raven Collins, 36, Lowry City, plead guilty to two class C felony charges of possessing a controlled substance. She was sentenced to serve six years in the Missouri Department of Corrections on each count with the sentences running concurrent and the court retaining jurisdiction in the case.

The charge stems from a drug investigation in February 2014 at Collins’ residence at the time on Fifth and Mahan street, Lowry City. St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office deputies and officers from the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdiction Drug Task Force located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the residence.

Mitchell sentenced to Missouri Department of Corrections

On June 6, Ashley Mitchell, 25, Montrose, appeared in the St. Clair Count Courtroom and admitted violation of probation on two original class C felony charges of possessing a controlled substance. Previously imposed sentences of five years in the Missouri Department of Corrections were executed in each case with the sentences running concurrent and the court retaining jurisdiction in the case under Missouri Revised Statutes 559.115.

One of the original charges stems from an investigation in July 2013 at a residence on NW 801 Road, Osceola. During the investigation St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office deputies and members of the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdiction Drug Task Force found Mitchell to be in possession of two glass pipes that contained a white powder that field tested positive for methamphetamine.

The other original charge stems from an investigation in September 2014 when a St. Clair County deputy assisted the Appleton City Police Department with a call regarding an alleged assault that occurred near Appleton City. Contact was made with Mitchell in the parking lot of Dollar General, Appleton City. During the investigation, Mitchell was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
