County badge.jpg

Sheriff Scott Keeler reported on Wednesday afternoon, June 8, Samantha Leonard, a 14-year-old female reported missing from her residence in Osceola, was located safe outside of Mound City, Kansas, in Linn County. Jamie Huff, 17, Osceola, was located with Leonard. He is a suspect in another St. Clair County investigation involving a stolen vehicle on June 5. On June 7, the vehicle was located in Hume.

The sheriff said deputies from Linn County Sheriff’s Department received information two subjects with backpacks were located under a bridge. Contact was made with the subjects and it was determined they were the individuals being sought. Arrangements are currently being made to transport the two individuals back to St. Clair County.

On June 6, Leonard’s mother reported her missing. She said her daughter left the house on June 5 and she assumed she went to her father’s house also located on B Highway.
