Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies have had a busy start to the week with five individuals arrested on warrants. The sheriff reminds citizens of the “Click It or Ticket” mobilization to crackdown on seat belt violations running through June 5.

Warrant arrests

Crystal Kirk

Crystal Kirk- On May 25, a St. Clair County deputy arrested Crystal Kirk, 24, Collins, on three Polk County warrants with no bond. The warrants charged Kirk with probation violations on two original charges of class C felony distribution, delivery, manufacture a controlled substance and a class C felony of possessing a controlled substance. The warrants were issued on May 24.

Kristopher Keeney

Kristopher Keeney- On May 25, a St. Clair County deputy arrested Kristopher Keeney, 24, Florissant, on a Lowry City warrant charging him with failing to appear in court on an original charge of exceeding the posted speed limit by 11-15 miles per hour. Bond is set at $200 cash only.

The warrant was issued on Nov. 24, 2015 and stems from a Lowry City Police Department investigation on Aug. 16, 2015.

Timothy Long

Timothy Long- On May 24, Timothy Long, 58, Collins, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class B felony driving while intoxicated-chronic offender and class D felony driving while suspended. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.

The warrant was issued on May 18 and the charges stem from an investigation on March 12 when a St. Clair County deputy took a statement from a witness concerning Long driving while intoxicated on SE 601 Road. The witness stopped to check on Long while he was parked with the vehicle running. A deputy made contact with Long and it was determined he was intoxicated. He was taken into custody and later released pending the formal charges.

Davy Bardwell Jr.

Davy Bardwell Jr.- On May 24, Davy Bardwell Jr., 33, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him several counts. Bardwell is charged with class C felony tampering with a motor vehicle-first degree, class D felony resisting arrest by fleeing, unclassified misdemeanor operating a vehicle on a highway without a valid license-second offense, infraction of  failing to wear protective  headgear when on motorcycle in motion, class A misdemeanor failing to yield to an emergency vehicle sounding siren and displaying red/blue light, class A misdemeanor leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, and class C misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner-involving an accident. Bond is set at $20,000 cash or surety.

The warrant was issued on Nov. 24, 2015. The charges stem from an Osceola Police Department investigation on September 21, 2015.

Ricky Collins

Ricky Collins- On May 23, a St. Clair County deputy arrested Ricky Collins, 33, Lowry City, on a warrant from Andrew County for failing to appear in court on class D felony charge of non support. Bond is set at $750 cash only.

Kayak reported stolen

On May 23, a St. Clair County deputy took a theft report on NE 800 Road, Lowry City. Robert Bray reported a Viking kayak missing from his property. The value of the kayak was estimated at $250.

Arrest warrant issued

Chad Cooper- On May 23, a St. Clair County warrant was issued for Chad Cooper, 26, Oak Grove, charging him with class B misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, class A misdemeanor resisting or interfering with arrest, and class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Bond is set at $2,500 cash or surety.

The charges stem from an investigation on May 20 when a St. Clair County deputy responded to a call of an individual possibly driving while intoxicated on NE 175 Road, Osceola. The vehicle was located at the end of the road near the water and contact was made with Cooper. During the investigation it was determined Cooper was intoxicated. While taking him into custody, Cooper pulled away from the deputy and attempted to run away.  A Missouri Department of Conservation agent on scene assisted as he continued to resist. A bag containing a green leafy substance consistence with the look and smell of marijuana was located in Cooper’s possession.

Criminal summons issued for peace disturbance

On May 23, a criminal summons was issued for James Taylor, 51, Lowry City, charging him with class B misdemeanor peace disturbance. The charge stems from an investigation on May 17 when a St. Clair County deputy took a report from Kristopher Miller regarding an incident that occurred at the junction of Main and Third streets, Lowry City. Miller reported Taylor pulled up to his vehicle and began yelling and using profane language toward him in the presence of two juveniles.
