Sheriff Scott Keeler is seeking the public’s assistance identifying two suspects in an early morning robbery that occurred in Appleton City on Friday, April, 1.
Sheriff Keeler said at approximately 4 a.m. St. Clair County deputies and the Appleton City Police Chief responded to Casey’s General Store, Appleton City, in reference to an armed robbery that just occurred. During the investigation it was learned two male subjects walked into the store and one pointed a handgun at the employee and told the clerk to give him the money from the register. An undisclosed amount of money was given to the suspect and both exited the store and ran westbound.
One of the suspects was described as a slim build wearing black sweat pants, a grey hoodie, a white glove, and a mask. The other suspect was a heavy build, wearing a red sweatshirt, black and white striped pants, and a bandana.
