St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office News Release for Dec. 14-21, 2015

     St. Clair County Sheriff Scott Keeler said deputies made six warrant arrests and took reports of fraud and theft during the week of Dec. 14-21.

Warrant arrests

Jennifer Crider

     Jennifer Crider- On Dec. 21, a St. Clair County deputy arrested Jennifer Crider, 38, West Plains, on a “no-bond” felony warrant from Oregon County after a traffic stop on Highway 13. The warrant was issued for failing to appear in court on an original class C felony charge of possession of a controlled substance.

Russell Rice

     Russell Rice- On Dec. 18, Russell Rice, 39, Urich, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony possession of controlled substance, class D felony resisting arrest/detention/stop by fleeing-creating a substantial risk of serious injury/death to any person, and class A misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. The warrant was issued July 9 and stems from a Missouri Department of Conservation investigation on July 4. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety. Rice was also arrested on an El Dorado Springs Police Department warrant charging him with contempt of court. Bond on that charge is $201 cash or surety.

Monnete Claney

     Monnete Claney- On Dec. 18, Monnete Claney, 53, Jerico Springs, was arrested in St. Clair County on a warrant from Clinton Police Department for failing to appear in court on an original charge of driving without a license. Bond is set at $100 cash only.

Thomas Magee

     Thomas Magee- On Dec. 16, Thomas Magee, 41, Kansas City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on a class C felony charge of theft/stealing. The warrant was issued in December 2010 and bond is set at $1,000 cash only.

Wendy Surber

     Wendy Surber- On Dec. 15, Wendy Surber, 52, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with class B felony trafficking in drugs in the second degree and class C felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $35,000 cash or surety.

     The charges stem from an investigation the day before on SE 356 Private Road, Osceola, when a search warrant was executed by St. Clair County deputies and members of the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdiction Drug Task Force. During the search a liquid that field tested positive for methamphetamine was located along with a glass pipe containing a white powder. The white powder also field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Pamela Williams

     Pamela Williams- On Dec. 15, Pamela Williams, 26, Osceola, was arrested on a Henry County warrant for failing to appear in court on charges of an animal at large charge and stealing leased property from the Clinton Police Department. Total bond is set at $600 cash only.

Fraud report taken

     On Dec. 16, a St. Clair County deputy took a report from Myron Horn in reference to fraud. Horn advised a balance transfer check for $950 was written on his credit card account. A suspect was named. 

Theft from Osceola Special Road District

     On Dec. 15, a St. Clair County deputy took a report in reference to a theft from the Osceola Special Road District on NE 471 Road. Cody Perry, an employee with the Osceola Special Road District, reported a Stihl TS420 chainsaw and a Stihl BG86 leaf blower missing from the property. The total value of the items missing was estimated at $1132.46.
