Warrant arrest
 Raymond Clausen-Laws |
On Oct. 19, Raymond Clausen-Laws, 19, Clinton, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony theft/stealing of a credit card. The warrant was issued on Oct. 15. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.
The charges stem from an investigation that started on Oct. 9 when St. Clair County deputies took a report from Keyowna Stewart in reference to a stolen debit card. Stewart said her bank notified her someone had tried several times to use the debit card in Clinton. On Oct. 14 Stewart notified deputies she had located her debit card. She stated the card was sticking out from under a cigarette pack belonging to Clausen-Laws, her boyfriend at the time. Stewart recovered the card. Video footage from the bank’s automated teller machine was obtained and Clausen-Laws was identified as the suspect. Stewart noted she did not give Clausen-Laws her personal identification number or permission to use the card.
