St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office News Release for Oct. 12-19, 2015

     St. Clair County Sheriff Scott Keeler said deputies made five warrant arrests, took two burglary reports, and two stealing reports during the week of Oct. 12-19.

Felony arrest in Twin Oaks Harbor

     On Oct. 18, David W. Powell, 51, North Kansas City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony unlawful use of a weapon-exhibiting and class C misdemeanor assault third degree. Bond is set at $25,000 cash only.

     The charge stems from an incident the day before when St. Clair County deputies responded to Twin Oaks Harbor, Lowry City, in reference Powell threatening an individual with a handgun. It was noted Powell was intoxicated, had a handgun holstered on his hip and threatened to shoot the individual multiple times. The handgun was seized as evidence.

Burglary complaint on SE 701 Road

     On Oct. 16, a St. Clair County deputy took a burglary complaint on SE 701 Road, Collins. Jill Williams and Raymond Holden reported a house and unattached garage were broken into and several items missing. Items missing include a red Kawasaki Prairie 300cc all terrain vehicle, miscellaneous hunting gear, miscellaneous motocross gear, and several plastic coolers. The total value of the items was estimated at $2,100.

Burglary reported at Stinnett Sales and Service

     On Oct. 16, St. Clair County deputies took a burglary report at Stinnett Sales and Service, Lowry City. Jordan Stinnett reported his father’s business was broken into and several items missing. Items missing include a Thermal Dynamics plasma cutter, Ruger New Vaquero .45 long colt stainless steel revolver, Samsung Galaxy Tab3, uniform shirts and blue jeans, Rotella 15w-40 motor oil, and slide hammer in a gray plastic case. The value of the items was estimated at $3,900. Damage to the building was estimated at $200.     

Warrant issued for Clinton man

     On Oct. 15, a St. Clair County arrest warrant was issued for Raymond Clausen-Laws, 19, Clinton, charging him with class C felony theft/stealing of a credit card. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

     On Oct. 9, St. Clair County deputies took a report from Keyowna Stewart in reference to a stolen debit card. Stewart said her bank notified her someone had tried several times to use the debit card in Clinton.

     On Oct. 14 Stewart notified deputies she located her debit car. She stated the card was sticking out from under a cigarette pack of Clausen-Laws, her boyfriend at the time. Stewart recovered the card. Video footage from the bank’s automated teller machine was obtained and Clausen-Laws was identified as the suspect. Stewart noted she did not give Clausen-Laws her personal identification number or permission to use the card.

Stealing report

     On Oct. 14, a St. Clair County deputy took a stealing report on NE 777 Road, Osceola. Charles and Betty Springstube reported a red 1977 Jeep Wrangler with a brown/rust color vinyl top missing from their barn. The value of the vehicle was estimated at $5,000. It was noted another vehicle was removed from the garage, turned around, and placed back in the garage facing a different direction.

Shauna Wallenbeck (Lee)

     Shauna Wallenbeck (Lee)- On Oct. 14, Shauna Wallenbeck (Lee),28, Lowry City, was arrested in St. Clair County on a DeKalb County warrant charging her with a class C felony deliver/attempt to deliver/possess/deposit/conceal controlled substance at correctional facility, city/county jail or private prison/jail. Bond is set at $25,000 cash only. The warrant was issued on July 10 and stems from an incident on Sept. 20, 2014.

Rocky Willis

     Rocky Willis- On Oct. 14, Rocky Willis, 38, Osceola, was arrested on two St. Clair County warrants for failing to appear in court on misdemeanor charges of passing bad checks, driving while revoked or suspended, no insurance, no plates, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Total bond is $1,500 cash only. The warrants were issued on June 3 and stems from incidents in March 2014 and January 2015.

Jacob Linthicum

     Jacob Linthicum- On Oct. 13, Jacob Linthicum, 21, Clinton, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for a probation violation on an original class D felony charge of unlawful use of a weapon. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only. The charge stems from an incident on April 15, 2014 when Linthicum allegedly pointed a rifle at Paul Shrik in an angry or threatening manner. Shirk was attempting to repossess a 2004 Mitsubishi passenger car from property located near the B Highway and M Highway junction, Appleton City, when the incident occurred.

Angelina Brewer

     Angelina Brewer- On Oct. 13, Angelina Brewer, 28, Osceola, was arrested in Osceola on a Clinton Police Department warrant for failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of speeding. Bond is set at $250 cash only.
