     Dennis Palmer- On Sept. 8, a St. Clair County arrest warrant was issued for Dennis Palmer, 66, Lowry City, charging him with violating a court order. His bond was revoked and a new bond amount was set at $50,000 cash only.

     Palmer was out of jail on bond charged with a class B felony charge of child molestation-first degree, an unclassified felony charge of attempted statutory rape-fist degree, an unclassified felony charge of attempt sexual intercourse with another person under 14-years-old, three unclassified felony charges of statutory sodomy-first degree-deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 14-years-old, an unclassified felony charge of enticement of a child (actor is 21-years of age or older and child is less than 15-years-old), and a class C felony charge of sexual misconduct or attempt involving a child under 15-years-old second and subsequent offense.

     The charges stem from an investigation that started in August 2014 after a hotline call to Missouri Department of Social Services Children’s Division was made concerning several alleged incidents that occurred between December 2012 and June 2013 when a child was staying at Palmer’s residence.  The Missouri State Technical Assistance Team and the Clinton Police Department assisted the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation.

Pipe gate stolen on A Highway

     On Sept. 8, a St. Clair County deputy took a stealing complaint on NW A Highway. Roger Gurley reported a red 16-foot pipe gate was stolen from his property. The investigation is ongoing. Warrant arrest

David Nelson

     On Sept. 8, David Nelson, 60, Osceola, was arrested in Osceola on a no-bond warrant from Missouri Department of Corrections for a parole violation.

     On Sept. 8, Gregory Abbott, 52, Independence, was arrested on a Platte County warrant for a federal probation violation. Bond is set at $25,000 cash only.
