Clinton man arrested on three felony charges

Joseph Daugherty

     On Aug. 18, Joseph Daugherty, 33, Clinton, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with three felony charges, a class A felony of kidnapping, a class B felony charge of burglary-first degree, and a class D felony of resisting arrest by fleeing. Bond is set at $100,000 cash or surety.

     The charges stem from an incident that occurred in the early morning hours on May 26 when St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to a residence on E Highway in reference to a domestic assault in progress. As deputies were responding to the scene, information was received the suspect had left driving a white Cadillac. An attempt was made to stop the vehicle, but it was able to elude the deputies.

     At the scene it was reported Daugherty, was an ex-live-in-boyfriend of a female living at the residence. He allegedly entered the residence carrying a hand gun, threatened to shoot the family members, and attempted to abduct a female.

     Additional charges are pending on Daugherty following incidents on May 29 when a St. Clair County deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle driving down E Highway. The driver attempted to elude deputies and ended up crashing the vehicle on SW 101 Road and fled into the woods. Evidence was located inside the vehicle that identified Daugherty as the driver.

     Information was received Daugherty was seen riding an ATV in the area. Later the same day, an ATV was recovered near the junction of B and E highway. The investigation discovered the ATV was stolen from a garage on SW 101 Road, Osceola.

Collins woman charged with four counts of forgery

Erika Bootier

     On Aug. 17, Erika Bootier, 23, Collins, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with four counts of class C felony forgery. Bond is set at $1,500 cash or surety. The warrant was issued on Aug. 12 and stems from incidents in December 2014 when Bootier cashed four checks that were stolen from an individual.

Lesley Burton (Wilkerson)

      On Aug. 17, Lesley Burton (Wilkerson), 40, Osceola, was arrested in St. Clair County on a Scott County warrant for failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of passing a bad check. The warrant was issued on Oct. 29, 2008 and stems from an incident in December 2007. Bond is set at $500 cash only.

Jason Brewer

      On Aug. 17, Jason Brewer, 30, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on a class C felony charge of receiving stolen property. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety. The original charge stems from an incident on Aug. 27, 2014 when Brewer allegedly sold jewelry that was reported as some of the items taken during a burglary in Hickory County.

Clayton Barker

     On Aug. 18, Clayton Barker, 51, Lowry City, was arrested in Osceola on a Polk County warrant charging him with driving while revoked. Bond is set at $379.50 cash only.

Lenny Moutrey

     On August 18, Lenny Moutrey, 56, Clinton, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with driving without a valid license. Bond was set at $275 cash only. The charge stems from a Missouri State Highway Patrol investigation on Dec. 25, 2014.
