Michael Stuart- On June 18, Michael Stuart, 30, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for a probation violation on an original class C felony charge of burglary-second degree. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only. The warrant was issued on May 26.

The original charge stems from an incident on Aug. 20, 2013 when Robert Lily reported someone trying to enter his house in Roscoe through a screen. He identified the man as a neighbor. An investigation led to Stuart’s arrest.

Disclaimer: Arrest records are public information. Any indication of an arrest does not mean the individual identified has been convicted of a crime. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Dead dogs found in low water crossing

On June 21, a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to the Chalk Level area near Highway FF in reference to dead dogs that were found near a low water crossing. Three dead dogs were located inside dog food sacks. It appeared the dogs weighed approximately 40-50 pounds and had brown, black, and white markings.

The investigation is ongoing. Sheriff Keeler urges those with any related information to contact the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line, 417-646-5832, or email to tips@scsomo.org.
