St. Clair County Sheriff Scott Keeler said deputies took reports of property damage, stealing and made several warrant arrests during the week of April 7-13.
Property damage on NE 800 Road
On April 12, a St. Clair County deputy took a property damage report on NE 800 Road, Lowry City. Vernard Tucker reported damage to the bumper of his 1984 Chevrolet pickup. Tucker said a contractor installing electrical meters moved his truck by pushing on the rear bumper with a skid steer loader. He said the bumper is now bent. Damage was estimated at $350.
Stealing report at Pilot
On April, 11, a St. Clair County deputy took a stealing report on SE 1000 Road. Nathan Quinn reported he and another individual were traveling from Iowa in a company van belonging to 1203 Entertainment, Hermitage, TN. Quinn said they arrived at the Pilot gas station, Collins, and the individual took 16 tee-shirts valued at $15 each, 240 assorted compact discs valued at $10 each and $1,000 cash. Quinn said the individual loaded everything into a red Mustang GT that was waiting at Pilot.
Property damage on B Highway
On April 10, a St. Clair County deputy took a property damage complaint at Bill Wishon’s property on NW B Highway. Mike Foster, a caretaker of the property, stated he noticed a gate had been opened and there were tire tracks around the yard, going behind the houses, and back out of the property through the yard on the west side of the property. Foster noted the tire tracks were very deep in certain places. He said plywood covering some windows was also taken down and laying in the yard.
Copper stolen from cell phone tower
On April 9, a St. Clair County deputy took a report from a Verizon Wireless representative in reference to stolen copper from a cell phone tower. The representative stated sometime between October 2014 and February 2015 approximately $1,500 worth of copper grounding line and bus bar were stolen from Verizon’s wireless cell phone tower located at NE 775 Road, Osceola.
Stealing reported on B Highway
On April 8, a St. Clair County deputy took a stealing report on NW Highway B. Timothy Stevens reported a red and gray Polaris 400, a green and yellow John Deere zero turn lawn mower, a weed eater, and a 14 foot double axle trailer missing from his residence.

Missing man located alive and responsive
An 83 year-old man who was reported missing in the Collins area was located alive and responsive during a search on Thursday afternoon, April 9. St. Clair County deputies and members of area fire departments located Leslie "Dan" Besser an estimated 150 yards south of his residence in thick brush. Besser was transported by ambulance to Citizens Memorial Hospital, Bolivar.

On April 9, Allen Wolf, 43, Collins, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class A misdemeanor of assault-third degree. The charge stems from an incident on April 15, 2014. The warrant was issued on April 28, 2014. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety.

On April 9, Billy Wood III, 26, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class D felony of non support. The charge stems from an incident in May 2012. Bond is set at$5,000 cash/surety.

On April 8, Juliet Kuhnert, 45, Springfield, was arrested in St. Clair County on a Green County warrant charging her with a class C felony of burglary-second degree. The charge stems from an incident on Sept. 19, 2014. The warrant was issued on April 2. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

On April 7, Dustin Silvers, 32, Collins, was arrested in Osceola on a Christian County warrant for failing to appear in court on an original charge of non-support-total arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments due under order of support. Bond is set at $1,000 cash only. The charge stems from an incident in January 2014 and the warrant was issued in March.

On April 7, Clint Wilkerson, Sr., 43, Collins, was arrested at his residence on two Polk County warrants charging him with a misdemeanor charge of no insurance and an infraction for no seat belt. Total bond is set at $300 cash only. The charges stem from an incident in January and the warrant was issued in March.

On April 7, Calvin Hill, 65, Collins, was arrested in Osceola on a Henry County warrant for a probation violation on an original class C felony charge of possessing a controlled substance and a class D felony charge of operating a vehicle without a valid license-third and subsequent offense . The charges stem from an incident in November 2014 and the warrant was issued March 26. Bond is set at $2,500 cash or surety and $1,000 cash only.
Coffee with the Sheriff to be held in Collins April 23
Sheriff Scott Keeler will host “Coffee with the Sheriff” on Thursday, April 23, from 7-10 a.m. at Smith’s Restaurant, Collins. The sheriff urges citizens to attend with any questions or concerns and be a part of making a difference in the community.
