St. Clair County Sheriff Scott Keeler said deputies made several warrant arrests and responded to a variety of calls for service during the week of February 2-9.
Warrant arrests
On Feb. 8, Daniel Nesbitt, 30, Lincoln, was arrested in St. Clair County on several out of county active warrants. Nesbitt was arrested on a Benton County warrant charging him with class D felony non-support. Bond is set at $8,500 cash only. He was arrested on a Vernon County warrant for failing to appear in court on a probation violation on an original misdemeanor charge of passing a bad check. Bond is set at $900 cash only. Nesbitt was also arrested on two Henry County warrants, one for a probation violation on an original misdemeanor charge of passing a bad check with bond set at $1,000 cash or surety and the other for a probation violation on an original misdemeanor charge of non-support with bond set at $500 cash only. Nesbitt was transported to the county line and custody was transferred to Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
On Feb. 6, Paul Reaves, 51, Flemington, was arrested in St. Clair County on two active warrants from the Humansville Police Department charging him with operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and insurance. Reaves was transported to the county line and custody was transferred to Humansville Police Department.

On Feb. 6, Anthony Candillo, 25, Independence, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of nonsupport. The original charge stems from an incident in January 2012. The warrant was issued in October 2014. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

On Feb. 5, Timmie Green, 29, Osceola, was arrested in St. Clair County on a no bond warrant for a probation/parole violation. In June 2012, Green pled guilty to class C felony statutory sodomy- second degree. The original charge stemmed from an incident in June 2011.

On Feb. 3, Jessica Thomas, 21, Osceola, was arrested in Osceola on St. Clair County warrant for a probation violation on the original class C felony charge of possessing a controlled substance. Bond was set at $5,000 cash only. The warrant was issued on Jan. 28 and stems from an incident in August 2012.

On Feb. 2, Thomas Cain, 75, Mountain Grove, was arrested in Osceola on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class B felony theft/stealing. The warrant was issued on Jan. 23 and stems from an incident on Oct. 26 in Collins. On Oct. 27, a St. Clair County deputy took a stealing report from Mike Garlett Jr., Mike's Wrecker Service. Garlett reported a 1986 Peterbuilt that he had been servicing was missing from his lot. He said the service to the truck was completed and he was waiting on payment. Bond was originally set at $15,000 cash or surety. Cain appeared in court on Feb. 2 and was released on an own recognizance bond.
Theft report
On Feb. 7, a St. Clair County deputy took a report from Lois Lyke in reference to the theft of three Tasco trail cameras and ten bales of straw from her property near NE 477 Road and NE 450 Road. The total value of the items was estimated at $280.
Stolen property located
On Feb. 3, a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to a residence on Cleveland Street, Lowry City, in reference to stolen property being located. Contact was made with Shawn Casey who stated some property which was recently stolen from him was in the bed of a black pickup truck parked at a residence. On Feb. 1 Casey reported several items missing from a barn at his property on A Highway where his house was recently lost due to a fire.
Casey said he was driving by the residence and noticed numerous burnt items belonging to him in the bed of the truck. He said some of the items were reported stolen and other items, he didn’t know were stolen. The black pickup truck was seized as evidence.
While on scene, a white pickup truck drove by with items in the back of it that Casey identified as stolen from him. The white pickup truck was located a short time later on NE D Highway near NE A Highway and a traffic stop was conducted. The alleged stolen items were no longer in the back of the truck.
Contact was made with the driver, Tallon Vaughn, 22, Lowry City, who had an active warrant for his arrest. Vaughn was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on an original misdemeanor charge of exceeding the posted speed limit by 41- 45 mph. Bond was set at $450.50 cash only.

Arrest warrants issued

Michael Parmalee -On Feb. 2, a St. Clair County arrest warrant was issued for Michael Parmalee, 34, Lowry City, for failing to appear in court on a class C felony charge of possessing a controlled substance. Bond is set at $2,500 cash only.
The original charge stems from an incident in July 2014 when Parmalee was arrested and following a narcotics investigation in Lowry City. Information was obtained regarding alleged drug activity occurring at a residence. During the investigation, St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office deputies and officers from the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdiction Drug Task Force found Parmalee to be in possession of a glass pipe containing a white powder that field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Christopher Melton -On Feb. 2, a St. Clair County arrest warrant was issued for Christopher Melton, 26, Weaubleau, for failing to appear in court for a probation violation hearing on an original class C felony charge of theft/stealing. The original charge stems from a stealing that occurred on property owned by Gary Vohs, located on SE Highway 13, Collins, in December 2012. Bond is set at $2,500 cash only. A second arrest warrant was issued for Melton on Feb. 4 for failing to appear in court on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with no license. Bond is set at $272.50 cash only.

Courtney Hopkins -On Feb. 2, a St. Clair County arrest warrant was issued for Courtney Hopkins, 30, Clinton, for failing to appear in court on a class C felony charge of burglary- second degree. The original charge stems from an incident in July 2014. Bond is set at $2,500 cash only.

Darren Troxel –On Feb. 4, a St. Clair County arrest warrant was issued for Darren Troxel, 47, Springfield, for failing to appear in court on an original misdemeanor charge of nonsupport. Bond is set at $1,000 cash only.
