St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a variety of calls for service during the week of January 20-26. Sheriff Scott Keeler said deputies made several felony arrests and took reports of theft.
Lowry City woman arrested for trafficking drugs

On Jan. 26, Brenda Nall, 42, Lowry City was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a class A felony of trafficking in drugs/attempted trafficking in drugs in the second degree. Bond is set at $75,000 cash only.
The charge stems from an incident on Jan. 25 after a St. Clair County deputy and members of the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdiction Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Nall was driving north of Lowry City. During the investigation, a drug detecting canine from the Hickory County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene. The canine alerted on the vehicle and a search was conducted. Over 100 grams of methamphetamine was located during the search.
Two from Nevada arrested on felony drug charges

On Jan. 26, Samuel Newman,22, Nevada, and Tiffany Foster, 25, Nevada, were arrested on St. Clair County warrants charging them with class B felonies of distribution, delivery, manufacture or production of a controlled substance or attempt to or possess with intent to. Newman’s bond is set at $50,000 cash or surety and Foster’s bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.

The charges stem from an incident on Jan. 25 after a traffic stop was conducted by the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdiction Drug Task Force on Highway 54 east of Collins. Newman was allegedly driving the vehicle and Foster was a passenger. During the investigation, a drug detecting canine from the Hickory County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene. The canine alerted on the vehicle and a search was conducted. Over 200 grams of marijuana, a scale and plastic bags were located in the vehicle.
Stolen van recovered
During the early morning hours on Jan. 26, a St. Clair County deputy recovered a 2005 Ford Utility van stolen from Jackson County. Information was also received the van was allegedly used in an attempted burglary in Clinton and the van was occupied by two individuals. The vehicle was located on the southbound side of Highway 13 near SE 400 Road, Osceola. It was found unoccupied, out of fuel and the ignition was missing from the steering column.
Theft of electrical service meter loops
On Jan. 24, a St. Clair County deputy took a report from Sac Osage Electric in reference to a theft on NE 401 Road off of Highway 13, Lowry City. A Sac Osage Electric Employee reported two electrical service meter loops were tampered with. It was noted copper wires were missing and both meter boxes were pried open. Damage was estimated between $2,500 and $3,000. The investigation is ongoing.
Two arrested on felony burglary charges

On Jan. 23, Daniel Chiles, 37, Deepwater, and Shawn King, 36, Clinton, were arrested on St. Clair County warrants charging them with burglary-second degree, a class C felony, and theft/stealing, a class A misdemeanor. Bond is set at $10,000.00 cash or surety on each in individual.

The charges stem from an incident in the early morning hours the same day when St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to a call in reference to two male subjects on a four wheeler carrying a water heater near NE 1301 Road, Osceola. The investigation discovered the water heater was stolen from a house owned by Robert Chambers.
Osceola woman arrested on felony drug charges

On Jan. 22, Sandra Hash, 50, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with two class C felony counts of possessing a controlled substance. The charges stem from an investigation on Jan. 21 when a St. Clair County deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle Hash was driving. During the investigation methamphetamine and Oxycodone hydrochloride were located. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.
Stealing complaint
On Jan. 22, a St. Clair County deputy took a stealing report on SE 375 Road, Collins. Shawn Nollenberg reported multiple black plastic flower pots and two 25 gallon red plastic feed tubs missing from his property. The total value of the items was estimated at $300. The investigation is ongoing.

On Jan. 26, Jessie Sorrell, 31, Blackwell, Ok., was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on a probation violation on an original class D felony charge of sexual misconduct or attempt involving a child under 15-year-old. Bond i9s set at $2,500 cash only.

On Jan. 21, Sherry Trimble, 43, Lowry City, was arrested in St. Clair County on two Taney County warrants, felony property damage-first degree-damage to a motor vehicle with intent to steal and failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of child neglect. Total bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

On Jan. 21, Shawn Davidson, 21, Lowry City, was arrested in St. Clair County on a Branson Police Department warrant charging him with shoplifting. Bond is set at $500 cash or surety.

On Jan. 21, John King, 24, Weaubleau, was arrested on a St. Clair County felony warrant charging him with class C felony of possessing a controlled substance. The warrant was issued the same day and bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety. The charge stems from a traffic stop in April 2014 conducted by the Osceola Police Department. During the investigation four Xanax were located in King’s vehicle.

On Jan. 20, Edwin Lyons, 37, Columbia, was arrested on two St. Clair County felony warrants, a class C felony charge of burglary-second degree and a probation/parole violation on an original class C felony charge of possessing a controlled substance. The burglary charge is an Osceola Police Department case stemming from an incident on Jan. 2. Total bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Warrant issued
On Jan. 23, a St. Clair County warrant was issued for Thomas Cain, 75, Mountain Grove, charging him with class B felony theft/stealing. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety. The charge stems from an incident on Oct. 26 in Collins. On Oct. 27, a St. Clair County deputy took a stealing report from Mike Garlett Jr., Mike's Wrecker Service. Garlett reported a 1986 Peterbuilt that he had been servicing was missing from his lot. He said the service to the truck was completed and he was waiting on payment.
