St. Clair County Sheriff Scott Keeler said deputies responded to calls related to burglaries, stealing, and property damage during the week of April 29-May 6.

Stealing reported on SE 1000 Road

On May 1, a St. Clair County deputy took a stealing report from Tim Mulley, who owns property near Collins on SE 1000 Road. Mulley reported a Jonsered chainsaw, a rock bar and two gates missing from his property. The items are valued at $595. A request for prosecution was signed and the investigation is ongoing.

Property damage at Brush Creek Access

On May 1, a deputy took a report regarding property damage at the Brush Creek Access, Osceola. Friends of Brush Creek President Bill Dill stated someone cut and removed approximately seven feet of ground wire from an electrical pole near the boat ramp. A request for prosecution was signed and the investigation is ongoing.

Criminal summons issued for misdemeanor domestic assault

On Wednesday, April 30, a criminal summons was issued for Terry Sieleman, 36, Appleton City, charging him with class A misdemeanor third degree domestic assault. The charge stems from an incident on March 25 when a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to a residence on West Sixth Street, Appleton City, in reference to a possible domestic disturbance in progress. A female victim stated she was assaulted during an argument with Sieleman. A request for prosecution was signed and contact was made with Sieleman. He was arrested and later released pending a formal charge. A court date of May 16 was given in the case.

Deputies investigate burglaries in Appleton City

On Tuesday, April 29, St. Clair County deputies investigated multiple burglaries that occurred overnight in Appleton City.

Dawnde Robbins and Robert McIntosh, reported a burglary at The Blue Inn, 117 West Fourth Street. Two cash registers and doors to the establishment were reported damaged. An estimated $6 was also reported missing.

Arthur Logan, Shelter Insurance, 129B West Fourth Street, reported $4 was missing from a cash box in his business. Damage was also reported to a door of the business.

Jeff Cross, Zink Motors, 200 East Fourth Street, reported the  parts building was broken into and $11 was stolen.

Ellen Dunham, AC Auto and Tractor Supply (NAPA), 116 East Fourth Street., reported a punch and $8.25 in quarters was missing from the store..

The information related to the burglaries was turned over to the Appleton City Police Department for their investigation.
