Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.
Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications
We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests and Reports
Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made arrests and took multiple reports during the week of February 14, 2023 through February 20, 2023.
On February 15, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies arrested Austin Weymuth for excessive speeding and Driving While Intoxicated.
On February 15, 2023- James Stevenson was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant. He is charged with Driving While Intoxicated. His bond is set at $5,000 cash only.
On February 15, 2023- Lacey Rogers was arrested at the St. Clair County Courthouse on a St. Clair County warrant. She is charged with Failure to Appear on her original charge of Failure to Register Vehicle. Her bond is set at $123 cash only.
On February 16, 2023- Jerry Jett was arrested at the St. Joseph Department of Corrections by St. Clair County Deputies. He is being charged with Possess Controlled Substance and Possession Drug Paraphernalia - Prior. Bond set at $5,000 cash or surety.
On February 16, 2023- Terry Vanholt was arrested by Hickory County Deputies on a St. Clair County warrant for Tampering with a motor vehicle, sale/possession of equipment or pats with an altered ID equipment. His bond is set at $15,000 cash only.
On February 17, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies took a call regarding property damage on SW Highway K. Reporting party stated someone deflated her truck tire sitting in her driveway. Person of interest has been identified.
On February 17, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies responded to a call regarding a lock being cut on a storage unit on 3rd street in Lowry City. Items that appeared to be missing from the unit are a 32" flat screen TV and a DVD player.
On February 17, 2023- Michael Debiew was arrested at the Cass County Jail by St. Clair County deputies. He was arrested on three St. Clair County warrants for Owner Operating Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility, Displayed/Possessed Motor Vehicle/Trailer plates of Another Person, Failure to Register Motor Vehicle. Bond was set at $516 cash only.
On February 17, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies received a report of scamming at the Casey's gas station in Osceola. Scammers disguised themselves as tech support for the credit card machine. Customers were not affected by this scam.
On February 18, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies were conducting a traffic stop for speed and lane violations when Daniel Jones was arrested on an Osage Beach Police Department warrant. He was transported to the St. Clair County Jail and released to the jail staff.
On February 18, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies were dispatched to SW O Highway, Eldorado Springs for a domestic that occurred prior to deputies arriving on scene. Investigation is ongoing.
On February 18, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies were dispatched to SE 871 Rd in Collins regarding an abandoned vehicle in a field. Subject was trespassing on the property to obtain some dirt for their garden. Subject vehicle got stuck and subject went to the neighbors for help getting out. Subject was issued citation for trespassing.
On February 18, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies were dispatched to CC Highway and NE 600 Rd in reference to a dog bite. Subject was walking the road when he was bitten by a dog. Owners of the dog have been contacted and the dogs are now on leashes and quarantine for 10 days.
On February 19, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies were dispatched to 951 Rd in Collins regarding a bull being deceased. Upon further investigation, the owner, determined his bull had been shot. Investigation is ongoing.
On February 19, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies were dispatched to NE 995 Private Rd in Twin Oaks Harbor in regards to a stolen firearm. The firearm is a 9mm Ruger LCE with turquoise grips. It was stolen from the owners' vehicle.
On February 20, 2023- St. Clair County Deputies responded to NW 601 Rd in Appleton City in reference to a domestic assault. Investigation is ongoing.
On February 20, 2023- Garrett Murphy was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies when he voluntarily turned himself in on his St. Clair County warrants on the charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond set at $5000 cash only.
