Text Caster
Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.
Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications
We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests
Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made 9 arrests and took multiple reports during the week of July 18th, 2022 through July 28th, 2022.
Cramer, Shannon- On July 18, 2022, Shannon Cramer, Sedalia, was arrested by Pettis County and picked up by St. Clair County on a St. Clair County warrant for Abuse or Neglect of a child, Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The bond was set at $5,000 cash only.
Mieneker, Jason- On July 18, 2022, Jason Mieneker, Belton, was arrested by Jackson County and picked up by St. Clair County on a St Clair County warrant for Passing Bad Checks. The bond was set at $2,500 cash only.
Durrossette, Michael- On July 20, 2022, Michael Durrossete, Fort Scott, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies on a Crawford County warrant for Failure to Appear. The bond was set at $2,500 cash or surety.
Thornburg, Wendy- On July 20, 2022, Wendy Thornburg, Appleton City, was arrested on a Jasper County warrant for Fail to Appear Driving while revoked. The bond was set at $300 cash only.
Foose, Caleb- On July 24, 2022, Caleb Foose, Osceola, was arrested for assault. The arrest was made after deputies were called to an assault in Osceola. Caleb was booked and released pending formal charges.
Swofford, Justin- On July 25, 2022, Justin Swofford, Clinton, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies, on a St. Clair County warrant from Probation and Parole. This warrant has no bond.
Goodrum, Stephanie- On July 25, 2022, Stephanie Goodrum, Osceola, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies for Possession Of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams Or Less Of Marijuana/synthetic Cannabinoid, Possession Of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid of 10 grams or less, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting/interfering with Arrest, Detention or stop. The arrest came from a call for service in reference to a female laying in the road. A search warrant was obtained on Goodrum's residence.
Thomas, Jessica- On July 26, 2022, Jessica Thomas, Roscoe, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies on charges of Possession Of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams Or Less Of Marijuana/synthetic Cannabinoid, Assault- 4th Degree, Possession Of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid Of 10 Grams or Less Prior drug offense, Unlawful Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia. The bond was set at $20,000 cash or surety.
Pursuit in Osceola
On July 20, 2022, a St. Clair County Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for speed. The deputy activated their emergency lights and sirens; the vehicle failed to yield and continued driving. The vehicle picked up speed and continued on WW highway, in Osceola. The motorcycle drove onto private property, wrecked the motorcycle and fled on foot. The subject identified as Jesse Plaster was located behind a swimming pool and taken into custody. A warrant was issued for Resisting Arrest Detention stop by fleeing, creating a substantial risk of serious injury or death to any person, Tampering with a motor vehicle 1st degree, DWI-Alcohol, Possession of a controlled substance, Possession of a controlled substance 10 grams or less prior. The bond was set at $15,000 cash or surety.
