Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests 

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made 11 arrests and took multiple reports during the week of June 26th, 2022 through July 3rd, 2022.

 

Silas, Landon-On June 26, 2022 Landon Silas, 24, Willard, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies on a warrant out of Christian County for Fail to Appear on a DUI. The bond was set at $2500.00 cash or surety.

Bellington, Joshua- On June 27, 2022, Joshua Bellington, 39, Osceola, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies on a warrant out of Jackson County for Fail to Appear Possession of a Controlled Substance. The bond is set at $2500.00 10% cash only.

Dorman, William- On June 29, 2022, William Dorman, 55, Clinton, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies for driving while revoked or suspended. William was booked and released pending formal charges.

Hughes, Christopher- On June 30, 2022, Christopher Hughes 45, Appleton City, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies on a warrant out of St Clair County for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender.

Willis, Rocky- On July 1, 2022. Rocky Willis, 45, Osceola, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies on a warrant out of St Clair County for Driving while Suspended/Revoked. The bond was set at $12,500 cash or surety.

Deputies participated in a July 4th DWI Enforcement Campaign. On June 30th multiple deputies conducted DWI enforcement throughout the county, looking for impaired drivers. Deputies had a total of 25 traffic stops in a four hour period. There were five felony drug arrests, and one DWI and warrant arrest made in that four hour period.

Johnson, Randy- On June 30, 2022, Randy Johnson 62, Osceola, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies for Possession of a Controlled. The arrest was made after deputies conducted a traffic stop for failing to signal. K9 alerted to the odor of narcotics on the vehicle. A search was conducted and suspected methamphetamine was located.

Devine, Donald- On June 30, 2022 Donald Devine, 63, Deepwater, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies for Possession of a Controlled Substance. The arrest was made after deputies conducted a traffic stop for no front license plate and failing to maintain lane. K9 alerted to the odor of narcotics on the vehicle. A search was conducted and suspected methamphetamine was located.

Gibson, Breanna- On June 30, 2022 Breanna Gibson, 35, Jonesboro, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies for Possession of a Controlled Substance. The arrest was made after deputies conducted a traffic stop for speeding. A probable cause search was conducted and suspected illegal substances were located.

Porter, Seth- On June 30, 2022 Seth Porter, 29, Appleton City, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies for Driving While Intoxicated. The arrest came from a traffic stop for no front license plate. The odor of intoxicants were emitting from Seth. Seth participated in field sobriety testing and was taken into custody. Seth was also arrested on a Bates County warrant for Fail to appear. The bond was set at $200 cash or surety.

Heinz, Shawn- On June 30, 2022, Shawn Heinz, 40, Auburn, was arrested by St. Clair County  Deputies for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a firearm. The arrest came from a traffic stop for taillight emitting white light. The probable cause search was conducted and suspected illegal substances and a firearm was located.

Hillis, Stella- On June 30, 2022, Stella Hillis, 48, Auburn, was arrested by St. Clair County  Deputies for Possession of a Controlled Substance, The arrest came from a traffic stop for taillight emitting white light. The probable cause search was conducted and suspected illegal substances and a firearm was located.
