Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

Arrests 

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made 7 arrests and took multiple reports during the week of June 18th, 2022 through June 25th, 2022.

 

Gilliam, Brandon- On June 21, 2022, Brandon Gilliam, 24, Springfield, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies on a St. Clair County warrant for no insurance, speeding and no seat belt. The bond was set at $644.00 cash only.

Rios, Jamie -On June 22, 2022, Jamie Rios, 29, Osceola, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies on charges of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Domestic Assault 1st, Armed Criminal Action. A warrant was issued and bond amount is $250,000 cash only. The arrest was made when deputies were called to a shooting.

Rios, Kirk- On June 22, 2022, Kirk Rios was involved in an assault and later arrested for Domestic Assault 2nd 2 counts, Armed Criminal Action 2 counts, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful use of a Weapon. Kirk was arrested on a no bond warrant. The arrest was made when deputies were called to a shooting.

Schoonover, Gary- On June 23, 2022, Gary, 41, Osceola, was arrested on a warrant for Tampering with a Motor vehicle. On June 22, 2022 Gary stole a white dodge truck from Freedom of Tabernacle Church in Osceola.

Ortiz, Eric- On June 24, 2022, Eric 28, Topeka Kansas, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies on a Buchanan County Warrant for Possession of Marijuana. The bond amount was $170.50 cash only.

Dace, Shannon- On June 25, 2022, Shannon Dace, 33 Olathe Kansas, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies for Possession of Controlled Substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana/ synthetic cannabinoid 2 counts, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The arrest was made after deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that Shannon was the passenger in, for failing to maintain the right half of the roadway. A probable cause search was conducted suspected drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine was located.

Deaton, David- On June 25, 2022, David Deaton, 35, Osceola, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies for Possession of Controlled Substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana/ synthetic cannabinoid 2 counts, Possession of marijuana/ synthetic cannabinoid of 10 grams or less- Prior drug offense, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The arrest was made after deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle David was driving, for failing to maintain the right half of the roadway. A probable cause search was conducted suspected drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine was located.
