Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests 

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made 4 arrests and took multiple reports during the week of March 22nd, 2022 through March 28th, 2022.

Robertson, Paul- On March 22, 2022, Paul Robertson, 52, Osceola, was arrested by St. Clair County deputies for 4th Degree Assault and Peace Disturbance. The arrest was made after a deputy had to break up a fight in the St. Clair County Court room.

Swofford, Justin- On March 25, 2022, John Swofford, 39, Caruthersville, was arrested by St. Clair County deputies on two St. Clair County warrant on Possession of a Controlled Substance, and one St. Clair County warrant for Resisting Arrest. Each warrant arrest had a bond of $5,000.00 cash only.

Bardwell, Joseph- On March 28, 2022, Joseph Bardwell, 31, Osceola, was arrested by St. Clair County deputies on a St. Clair County warrant for Driving While Suspended with no bond.

Bellamy, Trikesha- On March 28, 2022, Trikesha Bellamy, 33, Platte City, was arrested by St. Clair County deputies on a Polk County warrant for Failure to Appear. The bond was set at $300.00 cash only.

Stealing in Collins

On March 24, 2022, deputies responded to a call for service in regards to a stealing at Buzz's Market. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the manger of the store who stated that someone has ordered meat and cheese from the deli and left the store without paying for the items. The manager was able to identify the suspect and show deputies surveillance of the subjects stealing the items. Kasonda Mitts, 33, Marshall, and Michael Moutrey, 50, Wheatland, were both arrested and charged with Stealing and transported to the St. Clair County jail.
