Text Caster
Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.
Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications
We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests
Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made 5 arrests and took multiple reports during the week of November 2nd, 2021 through November 8th, 2021.
Austin, Nicholas- On November 2, 2021, Nicholas Austin, 24, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on two St. Clair County warrants for Possession of a Controlled Substance with a bond of $5,000.00 cash or surety, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a bond of $5,000.00 cash or surety.
Cramer, Shannon & Moore-Corbett, Katrianna- On November 3, 2021, Shannon Cramer, 18, Osceola, and Katrianna Moore-Corbett, 20, Sedalia, were arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy for Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The arrests were made after deputies responded to a call for a medical emergency in regards to a 2 month old baby. Upon further investigation of the wounds sustained by the infant, the mother and father were charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. After interviewing the father a warrant was issued for his arrest. On November 4, 2021, Shannon Cramer was on a warrant out of St. Clair County for Abuse and Neglect of a Child.
Cox, Melissa- On November 5, 2021, Melissa Cox, 58, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on a Cedar County warrant for passing a Bad Check. The bond was set on $500.00 cash only.
Seek, James- On November 6, 2021, James Seek, 35, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on a St. Clair County warrant for 3rd Degree Domestic Assault. The bond was set at $7,500.00 cash or surety.
Wetzel, Michael- On November 7, 2021, Michael Wetzel, 71, Lowry City, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on a warrant out of Benton County for a Felony Charge of Harassing Communications. The bond was set at $50,000.00 cash or surety.
Crowl, Brian- On November 7, 2021, Brian Crowl, 46, Iconium, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on a St. Clair County warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The bond was set at $7,500.00 cash or surety.
Stealing in Collins
On Thursday, November 4th, 2021, St. Clair County Deputies responded to a call for service in regards to stolen property. Upon making contact with the victim, she reported that the lock on her garage had been broken, and a Snap-On tool box containing several miscellaneous Snap-On tools were missing from her property. A report of the incident was taken and the investigation is still ongoing.
