Text Caster
Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.
Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications
We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests
Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made 5 arrests and took multiple reports during the week of October 26th, 2021 through November 1st, 2021.
Shelton, Larry- On October 26, 2021, Larry Shelton, 41, Lowry City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy for a warrant out of Lawrence County on charges of Failure to Appear. The bond was set at $500.00 cash only.
Puckett, Billy- On October 27, 2021, Billy Puckett, 37, Collins, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a United States Marshall warrant for Felony Possession of Child Pornography with no bond.
Cottrell, Wayne- On October 27, 2021, Wayne Cottrell, 56, Collins, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a felony warrant out of Henry County for Obstructing Court Orders on a 1st degree Assault with no bond.
Jones, John- On October 28, 2021, John Jones, 45, Clinton, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a warrant out of St. Clair County for charges of Stealing. The bond was set at $5,000.00 cash or surety.
Tindall, Aubrey- On November 1, 2021, Aubrey Tindall, 31, Collins, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a warrant out of St. Clair County for charges of Possession of Controlled Substance. The bond was set at $5,000.00 cash or surety.
