Text Caster 

Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests 

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made ­­­­5 arrests and took multiple reports during the week of August 31st, 2021 through September 6th, 2021.

Mullen, Mark- On August 31, 2021, Mark Mullen, 56, Des Allemands, was arrested by a St. Clair county deputy for a warrant out of St. Clair. The warrant was written for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and failure to register a motor vehicle. The bond was set for $350 cash only.

Fleischer, James- On September 1, 2021, James Fleischer, 34, Rich Hill, was arrested by a St. Clair county deputy for a warrant out of St. Clair for not paying child support. The bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety, or $500 cash only.

Coonrod, Robin- On September 3, 2021, Robin Coonrod, 56, Clinton, was arrested by a St. Clair county deputy for trespassing after a deputy responded to a call for service regarding a burglary in progress.

Foley, Joshua- On September 3, 2021, Joshua Foley, 38, Appleton City, was arrested by a St. Clair county deputy for a warrant out of St. Clair for failure to appear, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. The arrests were made after a deputy conducted a traffic stop for failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to use turn signals, and not having a license plate light. Deputies were given consent to search the vehicle and located illegal substances. The bond was set at $7,500 cash or surety.

Lee, Rebecca- On September 6, 2021, Rebecca Lee, 60, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair county deputy for domestic assault in the 3rd degree after a deputy responded to a call for service regarding a domestic disturbance.

 

 

Vandalism in Lowry City  

On Tuesday, August 31, 2021 a St. Clair County deputy responded to a call for service regarding vandalism. Upon arriving at the scene the victim reported that someone had cut their water softener tanks and water lines at their rental property. The victim estimated that the cost of the damage was $2,000. The deputies got a written statement from the victim and took photos of the damage. A report was taken and the investigation is still ongoing.

 

Vandalism in Collins  

On Tuesday, August 31, 2021 a St. Clair County deputy responded to a call for service regarding vandalism. Upon arriving at the scene the victim reported that someone had caused damage to their rental house. After the deputy was given access to the vandalized home, they took photos of the multiple broken windows, broken doors, and interior damage to the home. The estimated cost of the damage to the home is unknown at the time. A report was taken and the investigation is still ongoing.
