Deputy Sheriff Position
The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for full-time positions as a Deputy Sheriff. Primary duties will include patrol of the county, answering calls for service, investigations, paper service, and other various duties as assigned. Must be able to perform tasks on your own and work as a team. Shifts and hours will be varying.
Minimum requirements are: Must be a high school graduate, at least 21 years of age, POST Certified, have a valid driver's license, and successfully pass a thorough background investigation. The hourly wage after one year of service is $15.74/hour.
Transport Deputy Position
The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for full-time positions as a Transport Deputy. Primary duties will include transporting inmates to and from state/federal court, to and from facilities for the United States Marshal Service, and to/from medical appointments for inmates in custody. Must be able to be attentive, studious, and able to work as a team. Shifts will be Monday through Friday during the day, with the occasional call out throughout the weekend/nights.

Jail Officer Position
The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for full-time positions as a Jail Officer. Primary duties will include the continued security and safety of the building and occupants, enforcement of the jail rules and policies, and supervision of the activities of inmates.
Minimum requirements: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent, at least 20 years of age, have a current driver's license, and successfully pass a thorough background investigation. The hourly wage after one year of service is $12.90/hour.
Kitchen Officer Position
The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for full-time positions as a Kitchen Officer. Primary duties will include preparing and serving food, maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen, adhering to special diets via allergies/religion, and working together as a closely knit team.
Minimum Requirements: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent, at least 19 years of age, have a current driver's license or reliable method of transportation, and successfully pass a thorough background investigation. The hourly wage after one year of service is currently $12.03/hour.
Communications Officer
The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for full-time positions as a Communication Dispatcher. Primary duties will include answering incoming calls to the Sheriff's Office for the deputies, fire departments, emergency medical services and other duties as assigned. MULES certification is a plus, but not required. Must be organized, perform tasks on your own, and be able to work as a team. This is a high stress, fast paced job. Minimum requirements: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent, at least 20 years of age, have a current driver's license, and successfully pass a background investigation. The hourly wage after one year of service is $13.30/hour.
Maintenance Personnel
The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for full time positions as a Maintenance Personnel. Primary duties will include preventative maintenance on the plumbing, electrical, and mechanical operations of the facilities. Experience is preferred in plumbing and/or electrical work, but not required.
Minimum Requirements: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent, at least 20 years of age, have a current driver's license, and successfully pass a background investigation. The hourly wage for this position after one year of service is $13.10/hour.
