Additional Information

The warrant comes after a St. Clair County deputy performed a traffic stop on the vehicle Grooms was driving. A record check revealed Grooms had a warrant out of Clinton Police Department for possession of a controlled substance. The deputy advised Grooms of her warrant and asked her to step out of the vehicle. Grooms began to reach into her pocket, at which time the deputy placed Grooms into handcuffs. Located inside her pocket was a container with a baggie of marijuana and a baggie containing a white crystal like substance. The substance did field test positive for methamphetamine.
