Count I: Defendant sentenced to 10 years in Mo Dept of Corrections; execution of sentence suspended; defendant placed on supervised probation for 5 years
Defendant to serve 10 days shock detention in St. Clair Co. Jail
Counts II and III: $150 fine on each count

Additional Information

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy performed a traffic stop on the vehicle that Shonk was a passenger in for a traffic violation. The deputy received consent to search the vehicle from the driver.

During a search of the vehicle the deputy located two glass pipes, marijuana, and a baggie with a white crystal like substance. Shonk stated one of the glass pipes was his along with the marijuana. The glass pipes field tested positive for methamphetamine.
