The charge comes after a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to check on a male subject that was stuck in a ditch on April 3, 2018. While making contact with Hubert, the deputy could smell a strong odor of alcohol. The deputy performed a sobriety test, which Hubert failed. Hubert consented to a breathalyzer test. Hubert had a B.A.C. of .257, which is more than three times the legal limit.
